Happy Birthday, Lisabeers! May you skate through the year like this!

Nice picture, Picante!

Helena, MT(Zone 4b)

It's not mine, I wasn't there.
Those are our fabulous gold medalists in ice dance, 2006 Olympics.

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7b)

It is a nice picture. I dont' think I'd want to have my legs spread out like that for a year though.

Centennial, CO(Zone 5a)

I'd love to be able to skate like that, but I have to agree about the legs! :o)

Helena, MT(Zone 4b)

I was never that limber, either. (Oh, maybe for a minute or two when I was fourteen.) And I'd be afraid of hitting his head with my skate blade.

Santa Fe, NM

For me, not a good idea. I'm fairly large for that sort of thing. The poor little man would probably drop me!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I've been working on my death spiral for my Gardener's Tribute to the Olympics dance but I think I would break if I tried that move.

Helena, MT(Zone 4b)

Please please post a picture of you doing a death spiral. Or a video.

Methinks it takes a lot of tummy muscle. Tango partners occasionally lead something rather like a death spiral without realizing that it takes abs of steel.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

:O I'm so not doing the second one :O

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7b)

I'm with Picante. I want to see pictures when you do the first.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I'm hoping my DH will take pics. My fav part so far is bobsleding in my trusty barrow ^_^ My team mates Griswold and Stumpy are pretty good!

Helena, MT(Zone 4b)

Oh, heavens is that the Griswold we met in Canmore at the curling rink? Does he talk incessantly?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Noper Griswold is the strong, silent type but a very good brakeman. Stumpy talks alot but ent is a very sloooooow language so he has to talk alot or he would never finish a sentence. He is the driver. I am a middle guy. Still looking for another middle guy. COC has been cut from the team for continually jumping out of the bobsled before the finish line which is so NOT allowed.

Dolores, CO(Zone 5b)

Chuckling along with you all!

Santa Fe, NM

OMG! I thought a Death Spiral was a martial arts move practiced by alligators as they drag you under for the last time! I think I read that in an old Reader's Digest, probably in a tent. No Death Spirals for me! But would not mind seeing ice skaters in alligator suits. Dahlia? Picante? What sort of costumes?

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7b)

Death Spiral is a very popular name or title. Everybody wants to use it.

Santa Fe, NM

That makes sense. It has a certain charismatic appeal to it.

Helena, MT(Zone 4b)

I've decided to put a spiral in our garden. But it's going to be a life spiral. Stones and veronica or thyme, I think.

Centennial, CO(Zone 5a)

Oh, I like that!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I LUV that idea dear picante. Pics please of the life spiral when it is done.

Argh - I missed it! Happy belated Natal Day!
