Sweet Potatoes are ready
Blossombuddy, those will make potatoes but the flavor is kind of bland and the texture is dry and stringy.

Well, I would have had a nice sweet potato year if some critters had not tunneled under the plants and sampled nearly everyone from beneath. I live in Indiana and don't have gophers. Could it be voles? They did not disturb anything but the sweet potatoes.
Voles, moles, mice and or grubs...
You might try setting out mouse traps with peanut butter bait......not just on the usual spot, but smeared under and around it too.
Hello could you put down some hardware cloth to line the sweet potato bed with,
to keep the rodents out.
