We're going through a real drought here in S. TX, the grass not covered by the sprinklers is downright CRUNCHY! We have St. Augustine grass......................Should we halt all mowing or is it better to KEEP cutting the lawn in a drought?
Do You Cut Grass In Drought???????????
If it's actively growing to the point that it needs to be cut, then although technically speaking you may be in a drought, your lawn doesn't realize it so I would mow it when it needs it. If you've got water restrictions and as a result the lawn is suffering from the drought, I suspect it's not growing much and therefore wouldn't need to be mowed.
