A pixie lily that was just a bud on Sunday when icy rocks fell from the sky.
Survivors - plants that survived the hail.
Red, white and blue -- brave plants to have survived that beating!
Hooray for those! We had hail for a short time yesterday, which did minimal damage, except to my brand new water lilies (which are beautiful and one with buds, from Texas Water Lilies, btw... fabulous pond plants)... they're okay but their big beautiful leaves are all busted up like they've been shot...
Oh yeah, I have those bullet holes too - too bad about your water lilies.
I've noticed that Penstemons are good at dodging.
Penstemons are tough, too. A few of the purple -- probably Rocky Mt. ones have moved into my vacant lot. I already had some wild red ones. I was delighted to see them!
How wonderful that blooms survived! I have a little scarring on foliage from last weekend but nothing to moan about.
