Have ordered from over the last three years. Pricey but seeds germinate well and the orders are promptly processed, usually with few backorders.
Catalog is a visual treat, but descriptions must be carefully deciphered (written by ad-men, not growers).

A lot of variety. All types of tomatoes are represented to some degree. Service is good, seed is always viable and if you call them with a problem or question they can answer you quickly and correctly. Also, they make their catalog available early enough for the Zone 9 & 10 gardeners to get their seeds started indoors at the right time!

Definitely a premier place to look for tomato and pepper seed. Enormous, thorough collection, with very useful descriptions in the catalog. Easy to order using their 800 number.

I have been ordering seeds from Tomato Growers Supply Co, for 7-8 yrs. And since the seeds remain fertile for 7 years, I get to regrow some of the best.

This year, I helped students in our daughters' school grow almost 50 of the heirloom varieties offered by Tomato Growers. The seeds almost all sprouted and we were given the seeds by the Sapp Family (the owners) for the project. It was a smashing success. Their generosity and the tomatoes produced from their seeds has made our annual spring plant sale an amazing success. My favorites are the black plum cherry and the early Russian heirloom varieties. This is a good company and offer such large amounts of heirlooms, they cover a good field.

These guys are really great. Super-fast shipping with no screw-ups. The only drawback is not being able to order online. They have a fantastic selection of peppers and tomatoes! I'll be ordering from them again next year.

I haven't had too much luck with tomatoes due to blight, but heard about this place from a local garden shop & figured that if anybody would have some resistant varieties, they would. I had had no idea there were so many kinds of tomatoes until their catalog arrived. I went through & ordered the number of varieties I figured I would have room for - not only tomatoes, but also bell peppers and chilies - and they arrived in plenty of time before I needed to start them indoors. However, the seed envelopes had no spacing information on them. I tried to call them to ask for such info, but the line was perpetually busy that day, so I sent them a letter. To date they have not responded.It's getting close to the time for starting them, and I also have to plan my garden, so I tried to call them again today, with again longtime busy on both customer service and order lines. Finally I got through on their 800 number, only to find their horticulturalist out.The saga continues…

Have been ordering tomato and pepper seed from them for 5 or 6 years and have been very happy with the seeds. The seeds are really what the package label says they are. The service is fast. The prices are very reasonable. I enjoy their catalog. Never knew there were so many types of tomatoes before I found this catalog.
