TLDR; Poor communication and incorrect bulbs sent.

I ordered tulip and narcissus bulbs back in 2021 and it left such a bad impression I made a mental note to never buy from them again. The bulbs were shipped almost a month later than was indicated. It was 2021 though and lots of suppliers had similar issues, but it would've been nice to at least have had communication about the delays, instead of having to contact them myself.

The biggest issue though was the bulbs themselves looked small and dried out, several never bloomed, and what did come up was not what I ordered. I bought Pink Champagne daffodils, but I got common yellow daffodils. I bought Black Parrot tulips and instead got random fringe tulips. Given that their bulbs were quite pricey, this is not ok, I was not happy at all.

Buyer Beware-DutchGrown shipped diseased bulbs. I ordered 250 daffodil bulbs from DutchGrown. I paid extra for the “jumbo” bulbs and also for a naturalized mixture. Bulbs were small and all were the same (yellow flowers). However what is most concerning is these bulbs (90%) were shipped by DutchGrown having a virus (Narcissus Yellow Stripe Virus). There is no excuse for this. It’s incompetence at best as any knowledgeable grower would have known before shipping. This has been a very frustrating experience as I’ve had to dig up all the bulbs and discard them. Waste of time/money. Customer service seemed more concerned about the negative review I left on TrustPilot. Please be careful if considering purchasing daffodil bulbs from DutchGrown. This is all 100% the truth.
On a positive note- happy gardening!

Never again. This company either has a big a problem with quality control, or is simply dishonest. And the customer service is non-existent. I placed two orders ($300 total) in the summer 2021 for all those fancy daffodils and tulips they list on their website. Not only they left out one variety of daffodils (and my email to customer service was completely ignored, of course), but fast forward to spring 2022, instead of varieties I ordered, I'm having your ordinary big-box store daffodils I paid big bucks for. The most horrible experience I've ever had with any bulb company. Please, stay away, bring your business to some reputable bulb suppliers (John Sheepers, for example)

Believe the negative reviews...Terrible Communication

When I realized that my order was not arriving in time to get it planted I emailed the company and got an automated response. I called no less than three times and no one picked up and the phone message stated that the mail box was full. I emailed again. Then I emailed to state that I wanted to cancel my order as it would not get to me in time. I ended up having to order from a different company to be sure that I would have what I needed in spring. Those bulbs arrived in under a week. After I obtained tulips from a different company, still no direct communication from DutchGrown, they sent my shipment. I've not opened the box yet as the ground is now frozen and I cannot plant them anyway. I am forced to say that at some point I thought that the company was just a front for a scam operation. What store does not answer its phone and allows its mailbox to be so full that no messages can be recorded? In good faith I spend $135.94 with this company which was charged at the time of order in the summer. They take your money first which would be OK if they sent the product in time for planting OR at least answered questions to let a client know what was happening. Don't trust them.

I hate to leave a bad review--but this one is would be a double negative! A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
I am a Master Gardener. In the spring we have a flow of cars and pedestrians by our house to see our bulb gardens--we have over 2500 bulbs planted. We know what we are doing! I have had almost 100% beautiful blooms from John Scheepers, McClure & Zimmerman, Brent & Beckys and Odyssey Bulbs--I will only order from them in the future.
We ordered from Dutch Grown for the first time last year--Ixia, Narcissus, Chionodoxa, Tulips, Fritillaria, Eranthis.
The bulbs did not look great when they arrived, but I planted them. With the exception of some of the Narcissus, the bulbs did not perform well at all. Very disappointing.
I wrote a review on TrustPilot after getting no response reaching out to Dutch Grown. Once the negative review was posted, Dutch Grown reached out, was very apologetic, and offered to replace my entire 2020 order this year. I am not sure if it is ethical to change a review in exchange for product, but I agreed.
I just received the "replacement" order--it had 3 items that I never ordered in 2020, nothing else. I feel scammed.
I wrote a negative review on TrustPilot. They wrote a reply on the site that they shipped a full replacement order of beautiful bulbs--but they sent me an email that they canceled my replacement order because I wrote a bad review. That is a total contradiction. This is obviously a dishonest company.

This company brags that "you've never seen bulbs as big as ours!" So I expected a great order of top size bulbs. My first order was O.K. with some very nice tulip bulbs that were the advertised size and some nice quality daffodil bulbs that were smaller than the advertised 12+ cm, many were side bulbs broken off of double and triple nosed bulbs with the center bulb missing. There were no double or triple nosed bulbs, which are nearly always included in orders that have "top size" bulbs. I was told "that's how that variety grows". When my next order of different varieties came several of the bulbs were dead and dried out and all were well under the 12+cm promised many were just side bulbs, The size of a quarter about 3cm, broken off of triple and double nose bulbs. The large center bulbs were missing. One package that was supposed to include 25 bulbs had only 22 small bulbs the largest of which were about 5cm rather than the promised 12cm. Some bulbs were sprouted and soft, betraying poor storage methods.
I couldn't get anyone on the phone to complain about the poor bulbs and had to email and hope someone read it.
I did receive a prompt refund for all of my orders including the one I canceled, but my spring display is ruined since the varieties I wanted are sold out locally and it is too late to order from another source. This company makes big claims, but doesn't deliver.
