Those that did were a dramatically wrong color (light yellow instead of purple). The reason the experience is totally negative is that they do not seem to use customer service. My mother made 3 attempts to contact them via phone and email and she never received any kind of reply. She is the gardener and wants me to leave reviews of this seller so other people don't fall victim. |

On May 7, 2021, I ordered three Hardy Hibiscus Plants from Bulbsnblooms. One was a Blue River II Hardy Hibiscus for $45.00 & 2 Snow White Hardy Hibiscus for $28.15 each, equaling $56.30, total $101.34 with shipping $14.95 for a total of $116.29. They charged my account on May 10, 2021. Their website said they ship within 1 to 2 weeks from the order date. I finally started contacting them in early June. I did not get a response until June 12, 2021, saying they would ship ASAP. They want you to contact them by texting and they are very slow to respond. I texted back and forth with them for a while asking them to send the plants or a refund. One thing I was told on several occasions was that USPS kept losing their plants. When I would go to their website and log in it would tell me a label was created but not yet in system. Finally, they said they would send the plants and refund my money. I told them I didn't want both, just one or the other. They sent 2 dead plants and one dying plant arriving on 8/13/21. They did not look like any Hardy Hibiscus that I have ever seen and I have collected quite a few different varieties. I immediately took pictures. I texted I wanted a refund and sent the pictures too. I did not hear back from them so I looked up the BBB for their area, I live in the Midwest, and found they were not a member but did have a D+ rating. I submitted a complaint and they said they would send the complaint to the company and would contact me when they heard back. I did text again asking for a refund and received an angry reply complaining that I had woken their newborn. They also said, “It was refunded on 8/22 and came out of our account on 8/23. If it not showing by Monday or Tuesday dispute the charge. As it went through the refund process on our side.” It is Wednesday, 9/1/21 and there is no refund. I trust my bank more than I trust this company. |
Negative | kathysgarden25 (1 review) | On Jun 22, 2021, kathysgarden25 Saint Paul, MN wrote: I have had a negative experience ordering bulbs from Bulbs n Blooms.I ordered a favorite and hard to find lily from them in July of 2020. They came as promised in October of 2020 and were promptly planted in my garden. When they bloomed in June, however, they were not the bright clear pink Dolly Madison lilies I ordered but a lily the color of which can only be described as 'blood clot red'. This lily could have been just the thing for a goth garden but it had no place in my mine. These lilies cost me $42.97. After calling, emailing, texting, and messaging the folks at Bulbs n Blooms and receiving no reply, I gave up and called my credit card company to dispute the charge. But since I had no way of knowing that the lilies were not what I ordered until they bloomed in June 2021, the 60 day period in which you need to initiate a dispute had long past. SO, a couple of lessons here: First, be very careful when ordering bulbs on line. Research the reputation and reviews of the company before ordering from them as you may be sorry when they bloom and you have no recourse if they are not what you ordered. Second, be very wary of doing business with Bulbs n Blooms. I have $42.97 and a lost lily season of regret. |

Kevin said he would make it right....now I am told they sent bulbs in October - but I have never received them. Tried to call (both phone numbers) but just get answering service. Their website isn't working either. I am seeing if PayPal can get on this. Do not order from them! |
Negative | NanaBubbe (1 review) | On Apr 28, 2018, NanaBubbe Wayne, PA wrote: Received tiny seedlings but was charged prices typical of large nursery plants. $70 for 3 plants (including a tree) that did not fill an 8 inch x 8 inch carton. Plants arrived shriveled and dry. I will explore sending them back. Will be contacting the seller tomorrow. |

That is all I wanted. I'm not a vindictive person so I'll now change my rating from Negative to Positive. Thank you again for doing the right thing. On July 21st, 2016, 7r0p1c4l changed the rating from positive to negative and added the following: I thought this was solved. They are very sneaky cheats - Dated July 18th an e-mail from Paypal that bulbsnblooms cancelled their refund / payment to me. I did not receive any contact from them about this. I have written to them once again. Cancellation letter here: [HYPERLINK@s31.postimg.org] On August 2nd, 2016, 7r0p1c4l added the following: July 27 Sellers gave refund back again, but as a 'payment' so they are able to cancel it again as they did on July 18th. We'll see, I don't now grace period. |
