Have ordered several times over the last couple of months after reading all the positive reviews here on DG. Each time I've had a positive experience, with the number of seeds per packet far exceeding the "official" number listed, free packets included with each order, and pricing being very reasonable for everything on the site. Remy also answers questions quickly and in a very friendly manner. I'm just getting around to starting to plant everything I've ordered (spending way too much time browsing on the website), but I'm sure germination rates will be great as per everyone else's experience. Highly recommend.

I ordered my items late on a Friday. I received an email Monday confirming shipment, and they were at my house by Wednesday - wow! The surprise bonus seed packet was a great pick for me.

I planted the lettuce seeds in a container on the following Friday - by Sunday I could already see the seedlings sprouting. Great experience!

I was very happy with my experience. She answered questions I had quickly, and they had some of my favourite cultivars which I had been searching for. It took me a while to find the website, but now it's the first one I will check when looking for something.

She suggested perfect flowers to me, and the bonus packet was an apt choice. The only thing shoppers need to know is that they may have to look up germination instructions online. I do that anyway from multiple sites to feel more sure about doing it right.

I kind of regret not getting a couple of extra packets, but I'll have to wait until next year.

The service is excellent and the seeds spring right up, plus very reasonable prices--and a tomato called Pork Chop!

This shop has become one of my favorite places to buy seed. She has an interesting selection and a good amount of information about the varieties she carries. Shipping has always been fast and service has always been friendly and efficient. I recommend this shop to all of my friends and family.

Remy has a diverse list of tomato seeds from cherries to large beefsteaks and in between at affordable prices. Many have been taste test verified at tomato enthusiast gatherings in her area and in Cincinnati, OH. With Paypal accepted, it doesn't get any easier to have seeds on the way in record time.

When I wrote to Remy asking about Brandywine she was honest and recommended Grosse Cotelee as a favorite over said Brandywine so I ordered it along with another, Yellow Queen. They arrived swiftly, well packaged and with a free pack of seeds for another one I haven't yet tried.

I've already received my 2nd order from The Sample Seed Shop. The first one was a trial, something I do with any new seed source. I was so pleased with my first order that I promptly made a second, much larger order with her! I received the seeds VERY quickly, they are of fantastic quality and well packaged. My seed order arrived today and except for a little glitch trying to order( my lack of computer-ease), it was a very fast transaction. Remy held my hand through it, thank you,Remy. The bonus seeds were ones I've wanted to try.I have nothing but praise for this company that puts so much effort into helping their customers. And the prices can't be beat!

There's just something really appealing about this company and its website. This was my first order and the 'sample' of seeds was very generous and prices reasonable.

My seeds were shipped and 24 hours later arrived! All seeds are perfectly packaged in individual packs and sealed well. The store has so much to choose from. As I am a novice gardener I am able to order small amounts of seed to try out. All seeds are very reasonably priced. I would buy from this store again without hesitation. One of the best "new" seed sites. Great inventory, selection, service, and price. Along with superior communication, you can't go wrong here. I will always look here first when I am purchasing seeds. HUGE tomato seed selection!

I just got my order in the mail after a few days. Amazing!!!!

Super-fast shipping. Remy was out of one variety but sent bonus seeds to make up for it & also emailed me to ask if I wanted the missing seeds as a back order.

Hand-written envelopes; a nice touch was the date & seed counts noted on the back.

Have just sowed some of the seeds needing stratification; the seed counts were accurate & in some cases very generous.

The prices are excellent; great way to experiment with some new varieties without breaking the bank! Thank you, Remy.

I cannot say enough good things about the Sample Seed Shop! If you're a gardener on a budget, this website is for you. For $1 a packet, I can afford to experiment with varieties, and the "sample sizes" often contain a comparable amount to much more expensive packets. The selection is great and improving regularly, and the shipping was lightning quick (at a very low cost). But the best part of the experience for me has been the seeds themselves! The germination rates have been consistently high on everything I have planted (I've purchased 30+ different varieties of seeds). Its hard to buy anywhere else when you think about the price difference; I'm already planning my next order. Highly recommended!

I got an email on the first business day after my order was placed, saying my seeds had been shipped. I had them by the end of the week.

There is a nice selection of flower seeds available and amounts are very generous for the price.

Selection of veggie seeds is limited, but the selection offered is useful, and the varieties are excellent choices.

I assume that Remy looked at what I ordered and guessed at my growing conditions, because the bonus seeds she sent me will grow very well here, and are varieties of plants that I am happy to add to my garden.

If my seeds don't germinate, I'll be back to complain, but at this point, the business deserves the highest rating and I intend to shop there again (and again)

I knew I was going to order from here as soon as I looked at the website. This is clearly someone who loves plants. It may not have as many listings as other places, but it easily makes up for that with supremely interesting seeds -- I'm looking forward to the cardoon and the dinosaur kale. And I didn't even scratch the surface of the tomato listing! Shipping was quick, the entire experience was a pleasure. Strongly recommended!

As a home tomato gardener, I've long relied on purchased seedlings primarily because I like to grow as many varieties as possible in a small space, and it's not cost-effective to buy a dozen or more seed packets (at $5+ each) that contain many, many more seeds than I can ever actually use.

Last year I went to my usual favorite heirloom seedling merchant at the farmer's market and found chaos. There was a near-brawl over the last flat of Black From Tula babies. I got a nice mix and had a few good producers, but it wasn't one of my best seasons. I was determined to start my 'maters from seed this time.

The Sample Seed Shop was a exactly what I was looking for. For $15 including shipping, Remy delivered the twelve sample packs I chose plus a bonus (Black From Tula!), neatly packaged with a personal note, and in less than a week. The packets were generous containing 15-20 seeds.

My seedlings are now three weeks old and among the 13 varieties (I planted 5 of each) germination is 80-100%. This site is a great find and I look forward to doing business with Remy again!

I loved the prices and smaller number of seeds per packet, it enabled me to try many more seeds than I usually can. Communication was great, and Remy even took into account special requests for seed varieties that I wanted, like cosmic purple carrots and a japanese eggplant variety. Once my order was placed, it arrived promptly in a padded envelope, with a few packets of bonus seeds as well. Very nice!

I HIGHLY recommend The Sample Seed Shop!!! I found it through DG. I decided to experiment with a few cherry-size tomato varieties this year, and The Sample Seed Shop had a good selection of cherry and other tomatoes. I ordered 8 different varieties of tomato and 2 peppers. (I also got free seeds...YAY, and thank you!) The seeds arrived very quickly and were well-packaged and labeled clearly. I wanted to wait for germination, however, before I posted a review. I planted the seeds on February 5. I'm not a fancy gardener: I used leftover plastic cups with drainage holes and soil from my garden. At this writing, 7 days after planting, my germination rate is far better than I expected. Of the 33 seeds I planted, only 2 have not germinated. I was very surprised that they germinated so quickly...actually, two tomato varieties, Grapette and Sungold, had sprouted after just five days. Needless to say, this is now my favorite seed shop. Thank you, Remy!
