I first found this company on eBay listing as daylilyseed. Buyer seriously needs to be aware that they are massively overpriced and deceptive. I inquired about a listing for 25 high dollar daylilies for 395 dollars. I asked which varieties they were and they responded that they didn’t know but I couldn’t get them cheaper anywhere. When I responded asking them about the price for unnamed and not registered daylilies they would not respond. I don’t recommend buying anything from this supplier!

Absolutely hands down my worst Internet buying experience.

My experience with Veychek Nurseries is through EBay. I did a "buy it now" for 20 Stargazer lilies and 20 Siberia lilies. The order, including shipping, was $88.69. The order was placed March 12, 2007 and has yet to arrive. After a number of unanswered emails and calls to the nursery, I finally was able to rouse someone when I said on the answering machine that I was getting a lawyer. First Mr. Veychek claimed I had not paid (he never actually spoke to me--made a poor woman who works at the nursery talk to all his angry customers.) So I emailed the woman a copy of my PayPal receipt. The woman PROMISED that I would be reimbursed. Nothing. Then, he claimed (through the woman) that he had reimbursed me. So I asked her to provide me with
a copy of the PayPal receipt, showing that he had sent me a payment. Nothing. I called and emailed numerous times. All to no avail. However, I did receive numerous email from other EBay buyers who had been taken for much more than I by Mr. Veychek. I guess misery loves company.

All I can say is buyer beware!

I have called several times about two white lilac bushes I ordered. I have emailed Veycheck also. But to no avail no response. The two white lilac bushes I ordered were dead when they arrived. I even gave the shrubs the benefit of the doubt that they were alive and planted them. Still dead no leaves, nada. I am not a beginner gardner, I have been gardening for fifty years. I am really unhappy about Veycheck they way they do business. I am going to talk to the attorney general in our state and their state attorney general about the way they do business. I wish I had found this web site before I ordered I would not have ordered.

I received a call from Veycheck today, telling me they didn't guarantee their plants or shrubs. So in other words I am out two lilac bushes plus my money.

I was told by the rep that they didn't return calls because the customers always argued with them. Duh!!!!!!

I asked for two new bushes or my money and she said she would refer my call to her employer. Other words I am out of luck! I was also told that how did they know they weren't getting ripped off by the customer complaning their plants or shrubs were dead. I guess they think it is okay to rip the customer off.

I would strongly advise everyone not to do business with this company.

I ordered the "100 daylilies for $1.99 each" package. I emailed them asking them to delay shipping a few days because I would be out of town on business and didn't want the plants languishing in the central Texas heat. I never got a reply, but got a ship confirmation, so I cancelled my business trip and received the box very promptly (about 5 days after my order.)

Immediately opened the box to find extremely yellowed leaves (and lots of dead leaves too) and mushy, rotten, broken root systems. They appear to me to have been dug a long time ago and stored in wet paper shreds. I gently unpacked, soaked in water about an hour while I raked and watered the bed, and started planting.

Lost about 15 plants right off the bat because the roots were broken off from the stems before I removed them from the box (planted the roots anyway, so we'll see.) So far, another 5-8 are completely wilted and unhappy-looking, due to completely mushy roots. The other 79 (meaning I didn't get a full 100 plants!) are bouncing back-- getting green for sure. But they are really small single-fans, so I am quite sure they won't bloom this year and possibly not next.

I would not advise ordering from Veycheck. What a shame, it's a great deal and the blooms look gorgeous on the website. Good luck to you.

I ordered the following from Veychek, online, on 4/17/06:
(2) VARIEGATED ORNAMENTAL MISCANTHUS GRASS
(10) Happy Returns Daylily
(3) Redbud Tree
(5) Butterfly Bush
(3) Mimosa Tree (Silk Tree)

On 4/18, they say they shipped via the means I picked to ship, which on any given order, should arrive at my door no later than 7 working days later. It is May 10, 2006 and I have received no response. They refuse to answer my emails. This morning, I am going to report them to my bank as fraudulent and attempt to get my money back. I paid almost $85 for the above. I will also report them to the BBB Online to get that started. We will see what happens. Its the principle of it, I hate being lied to and taken advantage of.

I ordered 10 Douglas Fir trees. I received Harper Fir trees. I am not familiar with this tree and inquired about the acceptability in my area. I received no response. I still do not know is the trees will survive the desert.
