Actually to call Peterson Pawpaws a "nursery" is an enormous understatement. Neal is the premier breeder of improved Asimina Triloba (Paw paw) in the United States and published in scientific journals in his field. We are all the beneficiaries of Neal Peterson having devoted his life to this pursuit. |

A couple of months before shipping, the company sent me a letter stating that the plants were smaller than normal this year and offered a small discount. I was already impressed with their honesty before the plant was shipped. I opted instead for a normal sized 'Potomac'. The tree was nice sized with a large root system, full of small feeder roots. The plant has grown over a foot and continues to actively grow. In retrospect, they shipped the tree so well the smaller plants probably would have done just fine. |

They are exactly the size described and have a large, moist rootball. The packing was excellent and I liked that they used biodegradable packing peanuts. I got an email about a week before shipping telling me when to expect the plants. I couldn't ask for anything better. I just hope I can take proper care of these guys now! With the help of Peterson's website, I should do fine. Thanks for great plants! |

There was a shipping problem, but Neil (the owner) took full responsibility and made numerous offers to take care of the problem. I decided to just try and nurse the damaged tree. He followed up through the growing season and answered questions and offered help as needed. |
