Comments regarding Classy Groundcovers

Timely receipt of order. Plants arrived in excellent condition, well-packaged. Plants appear vigorous and are not small. Minor snafu with my order was immediately and courteously corrected by Classy Groundcovers. Highly recommended.

Last spring I ordered 50 bare root Hostas and 50 bare root Wintercreeper. Shipment arrived quickly and in fantastic shape. Everything took well and I'm looking forward to seeing how things come up this year if my snowbanks ever melt. The hostas were a wonderful variety and fun to watch grow. This spring I took advantage of the February discount and ordered 24 Candy Stripe creeping phlox with a requested ship date of 4/14. My plants arrived 4/17, very well packaged and in beautiful shape. Each pot is filled with a really well established plant that already has beautiful blossoms. I can't wait to get them in the ground. I may even have enough to share!

This was my first order with CG and I was very impressed with the quality and maturity of the plants, as well as the care taken in packing them for shipping. They arrived even sooner than I expected, in excellent condition. The plants themselves are the most lush, healthy plants I've ever received from an online vendor. I would definitely recommend this company to others considering this line of plants.

We were a bit sceptical about ordering because of a negative experience with a different company, but my husband and I needed ground cover. I've ordered plants for many years, and I have learned that opening the first box from a company that is new to me often leads to tears and frustration. I held my breath as I opened my first Classy Groundcovers box, but I was thrilled to discover English ivy that was perfect. The plants were unscathed from shipping and the soil around their roots was moist. I moved on to the next box, an order of bare-root liriope. I read the "About Bare Root Plants" page before I ordered, and I was a little worried about what I would find. The liriope was perfect, too. The grass had some soil and packing material around the roots. The soil was moist, and the blades of grass looked great. The plants were far more developed than I had hoped. I just now placed my second order with Classy Groundcovers (an order of vinca minor), and I have no fear about opening the box this time. Free shipping is great, and I got a free Classy Groundcovers hat and a spiffy new trowel, too! This is a great company! I will be ordering from them for a long, long time.

I ordered a flat of 24 Chrysogonum virginianum for my 86 year old mother. She had been growing one cluster of these yellow flowers for over 60 years. When she moved to Florida, her original (transplanted) plants struggled. The new plants arrived well packaged and vibrantly healthy. What joy to see her face - and to see them freshly planted in her garden! Than you!

I ordered 50 bare root hostas last year. They came rubber banded together with a free hat and planting tool. Well, lets just say I have a bad habit of not getting the plants into the ground as fast as I should. But the plants lasted fine for more than a week in the packaging. When I (finally) got around to planting them, the tool was surprisingly useful. Its a dibble type tool, to make a wedge shaped hole in the ground to drop the plant into. Anyway, the plants are doing great now, a year later. They even made it through the drought last summer. Very good people to do business with.

I am very impressed with Classy Groundcover's products. In July I ordered Day Lilies. Upon opening the package they appeared to have just been removed from the ground. They even smelled fresh! All are in the ground and growing.

Last month I placed a Hosta order. They also arrived in great shape and are growing. I even planted a real bare root (no foliage attached) that I found in the box. It has begun to grow!!

I will be ordering from them again.

My husband and I needed some plants to finish a small project at the back of our deck. I was surfing the internet looking for groundcover when I found your web site. I took a chance and placed an order for ferns and lipirope. I ordered them on Sunday and they arrived on Thursday. The plants are now in my yard and look great. I also want to thank you for the cap and the GREAT nozzle. We couldn't be be more pleased with your company . Great job! Any suggestions about fertilizer and how often to do it.(My gardening skills are limited).

For maximum growth, a high nitrogen fertilizer like 16-4-8 should be applied every 4-6 weeks after planting, beginning in early spring through late summer. In early fall and winter, apply 5-10-15 at recommended rate."

I have ordered Periwinkle, Hostas, and Lilyturf from Classy Groundcovers over the last three or four years. I've always been very happy with their plants. I especially like that they don't charge shipping and handling (although you have to buy in fairly large quantities).

I ordered Laurentia and vinca minor in 3 1/2 in. pots. I couldn't believe it when they arrived. I work for a large home improvement store in the garden center. We didn't carry vinca this year and we have never carried laurentia. I ordered these for my personal use. Since I receive orders from nurseries at work every day I know what can happen in shipping. This order was packed very tight so nothing could shift in the box and I can't tell you how pleased I was with the size and quality of the plants. The pots were full and green there wasn't one bad plant in the 50 I received. If I could control who the orders were placed with where I work I would use "Classy Groundcovers " but for now they definately have all my future personal business.

What a wonderful online ordering experience! I researched and read all sorts of reviews and thought I would try CG and I cannot state enough how happy I am with my order. The bareroot plants were awesome -- I expected little nothings, but there was so much green, and they have all taken off beautifully. I said the next time I ordered plants, I would look on garden watchdog before I got messed up again. Well, I did just that and what a great experience I had with this company. The prices are great, especially for what I ordered. I've never seen daylillies anywhere for 57 cents each. No shipping charges, you can't hardly beat that. And they shipped them so fast and I did not have to pay anything for shipping. Definately speed shipping. I couldn't hardly wait to see what they looked like. And ofcourse, that was just wonderful to. They did not even look like plants that had been in shipping. They were so crisp and green. Not one wilted. I would definately recommend this company and I will be doing business with them in the future.

Ordered 50 bare root daylilies. I am very pleased with the speed of delivery and condition of the plants... I could hardly fit all into a large bucket for initial soaking! Definitely nicer than I was expecting and all are large enough to diretly plant in the garden. No extra 'babying' will be needed. YEA!

I ordered 50 Hostas from Classy Groundcovers and was expecting a bunch of single leaf plants. What I received was a bunch of fresh, ready to plant, multi-leaf, great condition, fast-shipped plants in great condition each of which I could have expected to pay $5.00 or more at your local garden store. Great plants! I'm very happy and will be ordering many more plants today from Classy Groundcovers.

I just ordered the 50 noid hybrid daylily package and it arrived in less than a week. Plants arrived healthy and in good shape. Probably 3/4 were large daylily types and the rest appeared to be smaller varieties which I planted to the front. I bought these to complete a long area next to the public sidewalk in front of my house and I expect to see a nice display in the future. Probably the only thing I would have preferred to see is the roots wrapped in a moist medium with the rest of the plants in something drier like shredded paper instead of the whole thing shipped in a large plastic bag. I will definitely buy more soon to plants at my Mom's house.

After looking at quite a few mail order companies, and reading through the rest of the recommendations on Dave's Garden, I placed an order with Classy Groundcovers. My daylilies arrived yesterday, and I was very pleased. They all look healthy and were bigger than I thought they would be. All 50 Frans Hals will be going into the garden today!

Well after coming to Dave'sWD and looking at few websites and reading some pretty negative stuff about live plant purchases. I was refreshed to read all the positives from/about Classy Ground covers. I just received my 50 bare root Daylillies, I opened the box and they smell heavenly. Anyway ordered on Wednesday evening(actually Thursday AM) rec'vd on Friday afternoon..GREAT service.No free gift tho but the plants look lovely
I will totally be ordering from them again. Prices were not to bad for live plants.

Due to the excellent rating on DG, I chose Classy Groundcovers for my order of 250 vinca plants. I placed my order on Friday, received complimentary gifts of hat, trowel and nozzle sprayer on Monday and my plants arrived on Wednesday in excellent condition. I was very impressed with the size and quality of the plants. Will definitely order from them again!

Based on the ratings here, I ordered 100 bareroot daylilies and 24 achilla. It arrived at my door five days after I ordered them, in terrific condition. The Achilla were vigorous and substantial, and the lilies looked good. They also sent me a bonus gift of a trowel and a hat. I am looking for reasons to order from them again.

I have recently ordered some Ajuga Reptans from them and have been thrilled with the quality of plants, as well as quick and efficient service. I have received my second batch of daylilies from this company this year. The first batch that I ordered in March was so very impressive (healthy!!) that I went ahead and ordered a second batch. I was expecting them to be just as good as the first order and then... they were better! I have another box of big, fresh, healthy bareroots! I ordered them on Tuesday and got them on Friday and I can not wait to get them in the ground! (Unfortunately, I still have some prep work to do before I plant...) I am so excited about ClassyGroundcovers. I have a lot of ground to cover, now that my husband and I have moved to a new home in Tennessee. The lot slopes and has poor soil, but CGC offers a multitude of plants to help me create a beautiful garden.
