I went with my parents to purchess a front porch rail. He wanted a deposit and my parents made a down payment. Well he ripped them off. He took there money and never delivered the rail. My parents are in there late 70's. I tried to find Mr. Coble but he has moved his busness. I have found Mr. Coble and If you are looking for him you can find him on 72 west in Tuscumbia beside the dollar store. He has no sign but you can see some lamp post behind the fence. It is across the street from the resturant Rocking Chair. He has stated that the new owner of Tuscumbia Iron works is Devin Coble. Guess what that is his son who is one year old. Another scam by Robert Coble to hide his cheating business. I am a retired cop and I plan to sue him. Just to get a little justice. Here are a few of his past business names. Coble Bros LLC, Coble Metal Works, Southeasten Architectural and Tuscumbia Iron works. If you have any bad luck with him please call the District Attorney he Knows all about Mr. Robert Coble. What he does is illegal and he is a criminal. He needs to do some jail time. One day he will get his ass kicked. It is now July of 2007 and I still have no globes, no refund and no response from Southeastern Architectural Metals. I wish I would have seen this website sooner. I am still going to contact the attorney general regarding the fraud I feel I was a victim of. Buyer Beware! |

I asked for an invoice and by email received what appeared to me to be a professional invoice. Coble Metal requires 1/3 down, and I sent the check to them on October 4, for $222.00. The check was cashed on October 13. I waited until November 1, without hearing anything, so I attempted to contact....."Southeastern Architectual Metals" or "Coble Metal Works" for a staus update. I have not been able to make contact by phone, by email or by Fax. I then started calling agencies in Florence and found out the following; BBB said Unsatisfactory performance. "They take your money and provide nothing". Chamber of Commerce, "Oh yes, we know them, you had better call the District Attorney's Office". The DA's office told me there is an on going action on Robert Coble. Today, I received an email through "Dave's Garden that I would know by Monday what the status of my light poles is. Does anyone want to take this bet. I guess we've been scamed unless Dave's Garden can help us. |

But as of today I have yet to receive the post. I have contacted the company over 300 times (phone calls, emails etc.) When I did get a response I heard every excuse in the book. I spoke to someone on the phone about May 12th, who "assured" me my post was due to be shipped by R&L Trucking that Friday. (I have since found out R&L Trucking has no record of ever doing business with them.) Also during the conversation I mentioned I had read other negative comments about the company on this website. (What a coincidence that a positive comment appeared here May 13, 2005 from someone in Florence, Al, home of Coble Metal Works). |

I have had the same exact experience with Coble Metal Works as the other two people who have posted negative comments. Coble has cashed my deposit check for my order but will not return my calls or e-mails. As of now I am also filing a complaint with the Alabama Attorney General as well as other legal action. I strongly recomend you do not use this company!! On December 1st, 2005, ismdavid added the following: I was glad to hear from the Florence County District Attorney today after many months of no news. It does sound like they are in the process of attempting to get this business to cease and desist and to shut down its website. Its a long way from over, and I'll probably never receive any money back from this transaction, but I do hope the District Attorney has some success in its endeavors. If you have had a bad experience with this company, please contact the D.A. and join in the process. On December 19th, 2007, ismdavid added the following: Positive news - This week I received from the Alabama government a reimbursement check for the amount that was lost a few years ago. This money was from the settlement reached with Coble Metalworks last year. I was mid way down on a list of claimants and we are being reimbursed in the order in which our claim was filed. Hats off to the DA for a job well done. |
