Comments regarding House Plants 4 Less

I recently ordered four plants from Houseplants 4 Less, and three of them were completely unacceptable. I was charged $30 for a cast iron plant that had a total of FOUR, count'em, FOUR leaves. Two other plants were brown, spotted, and busted up. I emailed the owner of the nursery and he did not see fit to respond to me or give me a refund. Of all the online nurserys I've ever shopped, this one was the worst. Save yourselves some money folks, and never shop here.

This is said as people DO NOT PROPERLY READ ALL THE INFORMATION on the plants they order. The Cast Iron was a Variegated Cast Iron Plant and it clearly says it will only have 2 or 3 leaves:

She also ordered a 4 inch Black Cardinal and recieved 2 Black Cardinals in a 6 inch pot. 2 for the price of 1, and in a larger pot than ordered. She ordered a Spider Plant in a 4 inch pot and received a 6 inch pot.

Plants receive damage in shipping and we do our best to pack plants securely enough that no damage occurs. As for the unreturned email, we have posted a bulletin on our front page as to current website problems. The main computer went down and is in repair at this time. We do apologize for this inconveinence. "

Friendly, good service. He promptly returned my phone calls. Excellent looking plants, better than I expected. Would certainly do business with them again.

Today I received my third plant from House Plants 4 Less. And once again I was blown away buy the size and beauty of the plant. I've dealt with a few other plants sites and by far the plants from HP4L as far as price and size and health of the plants the others for the most part don't compare. THANKS once again!!

I have ordered before and everything has been fine! But this time, I decided to order the 'Surprise Box of Plants'. Boy, was I surprised, not four but five nice sized plants; two with flower stalks and in 4" pots. Very nice, nice!!!

Plants arrived in timely manner, packed extremely secure. They are, so far, in good condition and healthy! Will order again when I can found some more room.LOL

I recently order some houseplants for my daughter's new apartment. I got concerned when she didn't receive them so I followed up with Bobby Keziah. He informed me of the shipping date and was also very helpful instructing me how to navigate the House Plants 4 Less website to find the tracking information for myself. The next day, I emailed Mr. Keziah to let him know that my daughter still had not received her plants. He was very quick to respond and even went to the local post office to try to track down these errant plants (now in a box for 6 days). He is replacing the plants and reshipping them at no additional charge to me. I'd say that's an example of excellent customer service. I would definitely order from his company again.

I ordered a cast iron plant and was not happy when it arrived. I emailed Bobby and vented. He didn’t respond defensively but instead offered to exchange/replace my order immediately. No excuses. It was refreshing to deal with someone who only wanted to make sure I was happy. Well the replacement plant was great and I will shop again! Thanks Bobby.

After a foul-up on the US Postal services behalf, he made it his priority to see that my satisfaction from our business transaction was still fufilled. As an aspiring business student myself, Mr. Keziah's devotion and loyalty to customer satisfaction is one rarely seen today. Plants arrived in timely manner, packed extremely secure. They are in perfect condition, healthy and gorgeous PLANTS, not cuttings like some companies do!!! I LOVE THEM AND WILL DEFINATELY USE THIS GROWER AGAIN!!!

Since I had never dealt with this company before, I ordered the Bobby's Special to see what I would get. Despite a shipping error (my fault, and which Bobby worked on rectifying immediately), my plant arrived, still in excellent condition, and to my pleasant surprise, it mas a mature, robust Hoya Rubra (some leaves are 4" long!), a plant I had not seen since my childhood, and which filled the 6" pot completely. Futhermore, it had been trained on an arched trellis, and was a beautiful, tri-colored show specimen, right out of the box. I see signs of activity on one of the ends of the old flower stems, and I can't wait to smell that weird chocolatey smell, and see the alien-looking flowers.

I've already placed another order--the Surprise Box, and I eagerly await what he picks for me next.

I have never experienced a mail order company with such great plants! I ordered the String of Pearls and a Mexican Clump (air plant) --- I couldn't believe how they packed the plants -- amazing! My husband couldn't get over the size and the health of the plants......I will definately be buying from them again ...... Great Experience!!!!!!!! While you do pay a little more it is definately worth it!!!!!!!

I was looking for a string of pearls plant for a gift. House plants 4 less was 1 of 2 sites that offered it. The plants that they offer are all larger, ready to enjoy. When I ordered, in the comment area, I told them this was a birthday gift and had it shipped directly to the recipient. They kept me informed, by email, of each stage of the order process. The plant arrived beautiful! They also added to the box a birthday greeting and a package of wild flower seeds. Very nice personal touch! I just expected them not to put an invoice with the price in the packaging. They have a lot of hard to find plants. I will go back and get a few for myself. Great service and excellent plants.

I ordered an Alocasia Poly "mother" plant and called to verify it was a larger specimen. I was told it was in a two gallon pot and was large. The site specified a 30 inch tall plant. What I received was a three gallon pot with two six inch small plants freshly transplanted into it and with no root development outside the six inch pot plugs. I paid $66 for what I might have purchased locally for $20. Lesson learned: when buying sight unseen, surprises often await.

I ordered a silver philodendron and received it in about 10 days. It was much larger than I expected and very healthy. It was so large, that I repotted it the next day into 3 pots (2 are small ones I intend to give to my kids). I was so happy to find this plant because I haven't seen one in about 25 years and I just love it. One week later, the plants are all doing great.

At Christmas, I ordered a Poinsettia for my elderly Uncle in Montana who lives in a Nursing Home. Unfortunately, the plant was frozen during the shipping process. I sent an e-mail to explain what happened and request a replacement. My e-mail was answered immediately! Bobby Keziah suggested sending another, more appropriate type of plant that would be more hardy in such cold weather. He then not only sent one plant, but two! Bobby Keziah also personally contacted me by telephone. To make a long story short, at first I was disappointed, but then I was pleasantly surprised by such caring and prompt service. I plan to order all future gifts through this company and I will highly recommend it to all of my family, friends, and business associates. Also, my dear sweet Uncle (who was an avid gardener years ago) was so pleased by the lovely plants that tears of joy filled his eyes.

January 2nd I ordered a baby rubber plant. I received it on January 9th. The plant is gorgeous, I could not believe the size of it. I can tell you care about plants and your customers by how well the plant was packaged. I didn't even have to water it when I unpacked it. I surely will be ordering more plants in the future. I have ordered once from this company. The plant I ordered was out of stock. Mr. Keziah kept me well informed of the status of the order via email and telephone. As soon as he received the plant he shipped it to me, well packed and very healthy. I also enjoy his gardening newsletter.

The plants I received today were much bigger than any other place I have ordered from in the past & the correct plants! I ordered from another place at the same time & did not get a single plant I had asked for & never an explination as to why or what to do! My daughter who is a growing plant person herself (she is 8) had as much fun as I did opening our boxes. There is one that looks a little diffrent than the plant in the picture but I am sure Bobby will be quick to let me know an explination as he has been very responsive when I was waiting anciously for my plants to arrive when I would e-mail him. I have my eye on a few other plants at houseplants 4 less & I think I am going to have a hard time telling myself no now that I received my order. I will order from them many more times I am sure & will be sure to tell all my plant friends about this web site! Thanks for the wonderful plants.

I ordered a nice leafy cast iron plant and it arrived safely. House Plants 4 Less has professional and friendly service, offering a nice variety of plants (many are hard to find). I will order from them again!

I was surfing looking for a house plant to send to my family member for good luck wishes in their new home and found Plants 4 Less. I decided to look into it and to my amazement I found the plant I wanted formuch less than the other sites. I was also very hesitant to order it since the difference in price, but Bobby Keziah answered all my questions through e-mail and this made more at ease.
I just received a call thanking me for the plant and to my amazement the plant was to my utmost satisfactory and also had flowers. (I ordered the peace lily). Ordered 2 houseplants: a variegated sansevieria trifasciata (snake plant) and an aspidistra elatior (cast iron plant) which is hard to find in my area. The cast iron is about 18 inches tall and the snake plant is about 14" tall, both in green grower's pots.

The plants arrived in great shape via USPS Priority Mail and were obviously very healthy and pest free. No slugs, no mites, no fungus, no nothing! Really beautiful plants and already growing offshoots! While the website is not fancy like those of bigger nurseries (e.g. Clifton's), the ordering process is easy and there's an email confirmation after purchasing and on shipping. There's no wondering about whether or not your purchase went through or when your plant will be shipped.

Bobby Keziah, the owner, is really nice to deal with and very responsive -- he took the time to answer any and all questions, accomodated delayed shipping as requested (we were out of town for a bit), and packed the plants very carefully and in their own pots and in healthy soil. The pots were saran wrapped and the plants were protected with styrofoam popcorn and a fragile sticker on the box.

I was very happy with their plants and their service (I have no affiliation to their store). On receipt I sent a feedback email and Bobby sent back a nice thank you note and even offered a discount on future purchases! Very pleasant and generous of him.

Houseplants 4 Less is a really good source for some unusual houseplants and I would highly recommend ordering from them. They obviously care about both their plants and about customer satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again. Highly recommended! A+++

I am sooo impressed with the Variegated Rubber Trees you sent me. I never expected them to be so tall. You guys did a fantastic job. I will be ordering more product. May I also add, that if anyone viiewing this is interested in ordering plants on-line, but not sure of the quality, look no further, you've found the place to order from. I worked in the business for awhile and I know what type of product we got in from growers and houseplants 4less has them beat. I will be ordering more plants as the need arises for my Interiorscaping business.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to thank you for the most beautiful trailing gradenia plant I have ever seen!! it came carefully packaged along with the arrowhead phildronden and my other pretty flower... but man, that gardenia has about 20 blooms that are about to open and the fragrance from it is soooo strong I very impressed!!

My Jade was broken in half when delivered due to rough shipping. It was on my porch upside down! I called Mr. Keziah right away and was pleased to find out it would not only recover, but it became two complete plants! What a pleasant surprise! The plant was thick and healthy. I love it! I just ordered some more plants...Bird of Paradise that I have wanted for years, and an unusual Egg Plant. Can't wait to get them! Mr. Keziah goes above and beyond the norm. Most people are rude and reluctant to even help. Mr. Keziah was more than willing to replace my plant, but I wanted to keep it, so he told me how. I'll be shopping here for many years to come! We plant lovers have to stick together and good people are hard to find these days!

Just a note to all the other people out there, House Plants 4 Less is one of the best sites on the net. There is so much good, free information on his site and a free forum where you can get answers to any plant related question or you can just pop on and say hello or contribute an article. The forum is small now, which assures your question will not get lost in the shuffle. There is a Plant Doctor too (again at no charge). Where Mr. Kaziah will personally answer your question.

Bobby and his family are wonderful people who actually take the time to help those of us that need it. My very first on-line order I ever made of any kind was with them. I inundated them with e-mails and pm's and they quickly and patiently answered each one of them.

Furthermore, all the plants that I have received from House Plants 4 Less have all been big, beautifull plants, shipped complete with pots, 6 inches or larger. No small fries here! And! No bare roots. They are ready to be immediately put on display.
