I first ordered from them many years ago, I think it was something like 200 blackberry plants, and we were not familiar with them at the time. But, the order went smoothly and the customer service was very good, and I was very pleased with the plants.

Everything this company sent me was useless. They arrived half dead and in grocery bags. I lost $185.00 with these people and they DO NOT, no matter what they say, have any return policy. For that matter, there is no customer service. You can call and call, no one will answer. I truly feel as though I was scammed. I usually use my American Express card to do business on the Internet because they will simply refuse to pay a company like this. Go figure, this business does not take American Express. I ordered 12 shrubs on line from this " Tennessee Nursery" in February....After talking to a salesspokeswoman in Bristol Tennessee, that I was told is the main location, she suggested that since I lived in Tennessee also I could drive over and pick them up at their nursery in Altamont, Tennessee or use their trucker ( realitive)to ship them to me....I scheduled to pick up the shrubs myself between 8 am to noon on Thursday....After traveling all day Wednesday, a 6 hour drive, and spending the night in Monteagle, Tennessee, I and my wife drove the 15 miles to Altamont, Tennessee where I was instructed to pick up the shrubs... There is no sign of Tennessee nurseries ANYWHERE on the highway I was directed to, No one would ansswer the telephone numbers I had either...ONLY A RECORDING.....After going to the courthouse and the post office, where nobody Had ever Heard of a Tennessee Nursery ( a town of 1500 in case you didn't know) a State Trooper directed us to a place he thought might be a nursery. While he waited, I walked around the 2 barns that were there, and knocked on the door of the home and rang the doorbell but no one answered....We sat in our truck with the trailer I had rented until 12:30pm when the rain started I called one more time and left word on the answering machine that I was canceling my order on my credit card and heading back home...When I arrived home that night, Tammy called @10:pm and said they couldn't refund me my money because they had dug up the shrubs....I also contacted Bank of America which they in turn did not honor the charge due to the fact that they couldn't get anyone to answer the telephone either. Another issue Bof A had was the charge was from a logging company that didin't reflect nurseries.....I have now been contacted 3months later by a collection agency for the money.....
Due to this fact and others that have blogged complaints about I have since contacted the State attorney Generals office here in Tennessee in regards to this matter...........

I had the exact same experience as the last customer who posted. Dead plants followed by a hostile phone conversation and threatening emails. They are very experienced with debt collection from customers they cheat because there are so many. Do not give in. They are bullies.

Do not deal with this company, I spend $200 on a hard to find ascelpias they advertise and found out upon receiving it that it was common dogbane. Never could get anyone to answer the phone or my e-mails. The BBB endorements they use on thier site is bogus. I called the BBB and they said they have many complaints about this company. STAY AWAY

I spent $1500. dollars with this company. Just about everything we ordered was useless. It was either misidentified, half dead with no roots or dead. It seems rather than digging they rip plants out of the ground. They sent mint identified as bleeding heart. I ordered 3 varieties of azaleas, they're all the same. The supposed blueberries I still have not identified. Multoflora rose was included with what was called mountain laurel. It was rediculous. They were nasty to deal with from start to finish. Do not order from this company.

Wish that I had researched this company before purchasing from them. Sent wrong bare root plant. After sending multiple pictures of what was wrong we gave up. Fortunately I have learned to spread out my orders over several growers on larger projects to avoid this very problem. There is no customers service to tn nursery, they just do not respond.

I ordered one batch of trees from TN Wholesale and I was satisfied in most accounts- I called to voice my concern and I was surprised to hear that replacements would be sent as soon as some healthy plants become available again. I will post and notify.

They shipped the wrong plants requested not even the right genus. It is sad that we allow people in our industry to prey on others and with mail order you have little recourse. The claims process is not worth the hassle and they know it. When you call them you get sent to a message machine. Repeated emails go unanswered. The credit card charge was paid to Son's Logging and Nursery, Altamont Tn. There is another TN nursery that is legitimate. This experience was a scam from the start. Anyone that does not know the difference of pachysandra and hedera( Ivy) is very sad indeed in a horticultural business. Stay away from these people. If everyone knows they will eventually go out of business. I am commercial so I can expect a certain amount of this. What really bothers me is the little old lady that buys plants and is taken advantage of.

They will not make any effort to rectify their mistake. Stay away, stay away.

My advice is to stay away from this company!!! My wife and I bought 100 bare root Pine trees from this company, and every one of them died after planting, despite our best efforts. The trees were in poor condition upon arrival, with badly developed root systems. In addition, many of roots were "cut" from poor harvesting/digging up. The trees were stressed, dry, and about half of them had broken limbs.
Despite these issues, we planted them according to the instructions that Tammy had given to me over the phone. She said that survival rate for bare root trees was about 85% - but EVERY TREE DIED AFTER 3 WEEKS! We did an excellent job with planting, watering, fertilizing, etc. but all to no avail.
After seeing the result, I contacted TN Nursery, and spoke with Tammy. She said that they had an "insurance policy that takes care of situations like this", and that I should fax in a letter stating the problem, etc. I did so two days later, and asked for either a refund - or new trees.

Finally, 2 weeks later, I left a message, asking for a return call to discuss the problem.
and waited.
and waited.
NO RESPONSE!
I would encourage everyone that reads this to boycott TN Nursery - even a courtesy call or some kind of response would have been, at the least, good business practice.
These people seem to make a habit of ripping people off, and then shrugging their shoulders, as if to say, "buyer beware!"
Do NOT buy from this company, no matter how attractive their web presentation may appear.

What a dreadful experience. Ordered trees and called for the shipping cost they never even returned my calls, but charged my card and shipped then anyway. Package was delivered over the weekend with NO NOTICE! They have a 24 hour return policy so that clearly could not happen. I emailed, called and faxed them only to reive the most convoluted response via email. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THESE PEOPLE! They would not take back the pathetic excuse for trees that they sent me. There is a reason for all the negative feedback. They just don't care!
