Comments regarding The Tasteful Garden

Excellent service. I ordered 12 tomato plants and they arrived in good condition and are doing GREAT. They were larger than I expected and very healthy. All the plants were shipped quickly and when I asked them to be. A+ !

Great packaging and very large tomato plants! I let them rest for a few days before planting them and they're doing great. I'm very pleased with my plants and I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

I ordered and received (..just when I was told I would) five superb Sweet Million tomato plants. I could not be more pleased. They are all about 10 inches tall ..leafy ..strong and healthy. They were beautifully and carefuly packaged and there was not a weakened or broken stem in the bunch. This is my second time ordering from The Tasteful Garden. I ordered several plants and a coupleof gardening aids from them last year. I am still just as pleased and will be doing business with them in the future.

This was my first time ordering from them and I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The plants arrived exactly when the company said they would and I must say that the tomatoes and herbs I ordered were packed for shipping better that any other company I have used before. All the plants were healthy and much larger than I thought they would be. I will definatly buy from them in the future.

The tasteful garden is a wonderful place to purchase plants, etc. I love that they use organic growing practices. If I have a question Cindy gets back with me quickly. She is very knowledgable. They value customer satisfaction and I will purchase from them year after year.

The first year I visited The Tasteful Garden in person since I live in Atlanta GA. The folks were very nice and I got to see their operation up close. I bought 7 varieties of tomatoes, 3 vegs and a couple of herbs. One tomato and one veg never produced but everything else was beautiful.
The next year I ordered online and the order was delivered right on time (late April) and beautifully packaged. As mentioned before, do not yank off the plastic wrap but take the time to find the scissors and gently cut them out. This time I ordered 11 varieties and different vegs/fruits. The varieties were very successful (except the one a cat got to). Some produce more than others but that depends upon the varieties.
I like that there is a good variety but not too overwhelming. It is a small business and they care about customers and service so if something is wrong by all means call them up and talk to them.

I have been ordering from the tasteful garden for a few years now and the plants always arrive when they should and in perfect condition. They thrive in our garden.

I received a very nice email yesterday from the Tasteful Garden. Their unattributed posting of my garden photos on their website was an error. They will add a note to indicate the photos are from my blog. And they sent me a coupon code for free plants! I'm very excited to try out their plants.

I feel the same as KParr. I find it a poor reflection on their business ethics. Not to mention their gardens! I don't know many gardeners who don't have their own photos of their own plants. I still see the photos on the website, and I still would not buy from them.

It would have been very easy to simply ask for permission in advance. There are few web designers who are not aware of copyright laws, and there are many sources of inexpensive commercial photography available for web use. This kind of thing really irritates me. No one accidentally harvests photos from a personal website.

This website has stolen photographs from a gardening blog (skippy's garden) and used them on the site. The blogger was never contacted or asked for permission to use her photos.

Therefore: I won't buy from them and I'll be telling my friends.

Ordering on line was easy and efficient. Plants arrived in great shape and for the most part are doing fabulously. The eggplant only produced one eggplant so far and the flowers have been falling off...something I have caused I'm sure, not the plant. But, I'm new to growing things other than better boy tomatoes so a lot of this is my own learning experience. The two heirlooms are doing great and hopefully they will ripen in the next week or so. Beans are also flowering so I'm waiting on them as well as the squash. The squash I planted from my seeds has fizzled - flowers but no fruit - but the one from the Tasteful Garden seems to be producing squash from the flowers now so I am anticipating some good eating. I have ordered fall veggies and can't wait for them to arrive. I'm learning which plants like which area of the garden - next year things will be even better! You have gained a loyal customer!

Just a note about the Eggplant--It sounds like the heat is causing the flowers to fall off. Temps have been very high this year and can cause flower drop on both eggplant, peppers and tomatoes. Mulch well to protect the roots from the hot summer heat. Thanks for your comments!"

I have to give The Tasteful Garden 5***** for incredible plants and service! I ordered 2 different tomato combos (12 plants total). I have never seen such WELL PACKAGED garden plants before in my life, and I have ordered many! Each was well protected & though shipped 6 days before arriving, they were better than fine! (I was pretty worried they would dry out) But each was STILL MOIST, VERY HEALTHY and BIGGER than expected. Each one is at least A FOOT tall! I planted them 5 days ago & they're doing GREAT! BUT BE CAREFUL unwrapping the plastic around the pots - I accidently broke a stalk clean off pulling at it, rather than just cutting it off.

My tomatoes arrived packaged superbly....healthy, just wonderful. Thank you for making me smile when I opened up that box.
Will definately order again in the future.....

GORGEOUS herbs and tomatoes! My bareroot strawberries haven't done so well, but that's probably user error.

Well it's really easy to see why this company is in the top tier on this website. If my first order is a valid indicator of the quality of this company's plants and service, it is hard to see how anyone could give this company even a neutral rating. I must say the parsley plants I purchased as a Christmas gift could not be better grown. I feel that the price charged is exremely low for this quailty of plants. I am so well pleased, I can't wait till spring when I can order more and different plants.

This was my first expericence ordering from The Tasteful Garden, and I plan to order again oneday. I found them to be very helpful. My plants arrived promptly and in good shape.

I have ordered plants from you for several years, this year I ordered several tomato plants they all grew like weeds, I had to prune them back at the top several times or they would have been 15-20 feet tall and the amount of fruit they set was "WOW"!!!! I kept the neighbors and my coworkers supplied and had more that enough for my entire family and they still have lots of fruit left. My favorite was the German Giant HUGE fruit very meaty and very flavorful I will be growing this again. People kept asking me how I grew such large tomato plants ,I told them where to find you keep up the good work.

I just love them and have ordered several times. The plants always arrive strong and healthy. I just keep killing them and re-ordering. The Lemongrass plant turned out to be HUGE. Customer service is excellent. They lady there was very knowledeable and helpful. I highly recommend this company and will keep using them. In my area they ship on Monday by UPS and my box arrives on Thursday.

I received my first orders with this company in a timely manner. They were packaged well and, so far, seem to be doing well.
I received email notices from the time of my order until it's arrival.

Absolutely phenominal quality and customer service....very unexpected! Not only are my tomato plants top notch, but yall even thought to make the packaging that way as well. I've never seen anything like this! I must say I was shocked to see what beautiful, huge plants I received from you guys. I was so nervous I was going to get some puny, little dinky plants, but instead, was just truly amazed at what I got...first class tomatoes! It's so nice to see that high quality products and great customer service are still around (it's hard to find). I almost want to refer to it as "old-timey," because in this day and age, everyone wants to sell lesser products for as much money as they can get. I ordered 4 tomato plants and two herb plants from this company. They shipped when they said they would and all but one plant arrived safely. The plant that didn't was replaced by the company promptly. Their tomato plants were a little leggy, but very healthy and they do a great job packing the plants so that they arrive undamaged and in one piece. I'd do business with them again.

I ordered a number of vegetable plants for planting this year from The Tasteful Garden, and a number of other nurseries. I also purchased some things locally. The plants this company sent are by far the healthiest, most substantial veges growing in my garden at this time. Next year I will be ordering all my veges from them.

First time buyer of online plants and I could not be happier with my experience at The Tasteful Garden! The vegetable and herb plants were well packaged and arrived exactly on time as promised. Only one tomato plant was damaged (out of 18 plants shipped) and when I called to ask how to care for the ailing plant, I was told that even though the plant would most likely recover, another replacement plant would be sent immediately. Healthy plants, wide selection, superb customer service...I will be a repeat customer!

I do a TV series called Garden Wise with Arlena, I received some very beautiful Herb plants from the Tasteful Garden to use on my show.

STOP THE PRESS FOLKS: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALIVE AND WELL.
Although I have not received my order yet and can't comment on the actual plants I order last week, I can say that in the many years I have ordered plants from various companies, I have never had one personally call me about an issue with my order . I received a call from Cindy today who couldn't have been more pleasant, and helpful, and frankly was so nice that I was not in the least upset about the pepperoncini's being out of stock,(also, being from Jersey, we're a little high strung up here so I can't get mad when I hear the refreshing kindness of a southern accent).
This company truly knows what customer service is all about! I ordered from them so late because the other plants I ordered from another ##@!!! company (starts with a b-ends with an e) back in March were D.O.A and were naturally out of stock when I asked for a replacement.I will be sure to order from The Tasteful Garden earlier next year. I'll also post an update on the plants as I get them. A live person called...I still can't believe it!

This is the first time I have been to your site, and am so pleasantly surprised. I do mostly potted herbs and a few veggies with success, and enjoy herbs for cooking. I Love how you do a writeup of each herb and how they grow. It saves so much time with it all on one page. My mother and I both ordered Heirloom Tomatoes, they arrived in good shape. The tomato plants are healthy and a nice size, some with blossoms already on them. Now I can't wait for them to grow! I will leave feedback again as to how they grow later on in the season.
I also ordered, eggplant, peppers, and squash. All the plants arrived looking healthy and strong.
The Tasteful Garden seems to me to be a great place to buy vegetable plants online and I have checked every site I could find.

I ordered 3 Tomato plants from this company. When I received them the box was almost crushed due to the handling of UPS. The plants were packaged very well, but were damaged by the handling. The company sent me replacements and they are in good shape. This is an excellent company and I will order from them again in the future, and highly recommend them. David Tucker Louisville Kentucky.

Who would have imagined the incredible sensory experience rendered with the opening of a plain cardboard box when my heirloom tomatoes arrived from The Tasteful Garden? I was hopeful that my long sought after heirloom plants would arrive in good condition- I was delighted when they arrived in superb condition! All six were artfully packaged in protective sleeves, were well watered but not dripping and had the aroma of summers long ago. My children were astonished and we greatly enjoyed the planting, harvesting and delicious pastime of eating our fabulous tomatoes. I have been ordering from the Tasteful garden for 4 years and I love the quality and selection of their plants and the way they are packaged. I would highly recommend ordering from them, but place your order a few weeks before you are going to want it, because they frequently have a shipping backlog (which is annoying).

Our plants are in highest demand during the first two weeks of May as most of the country hit their last frost dates and Mother's day gift orders come in. We staff up as much as possible during the season but demand is always just a little higher than we expect which creates a backlog during this very busy time. In order to service our customers who pre-order in winter months, unfortunately those who wait may be delayed a week or two during this period. We apologize to those who have to wait. We have ordered heirloom tomato plants and herbs from The Tasteful Garden for several years. The plants always arrive on schedule, in exceptional condition, and are strong growers/ producers. In the past we had grown these plants from seed or purchased locally, but have been happiest with the results from the plants shipped from the Tasteful Garden!

My vegetable plants from Tasteful Gardens arrived last Tuesday. Due to the recent nasty weather, they are still in their little containers on the front porch where they could be covered at night. However, they are big, beautiful plants and have taken the delay in planting very well indeed. I ordered tomatoes, lettuce, bell peppers, banana pepper, cantaloupe, and watermelon. Definitely recommend these folks. I will be ordering from them again.
