Have ordered a number of times from them now and will in the future often. The seeds were as advertised without short counting in the packet. They were viable and germination percentage true to form. Order arrived promptly on schedule and in good shape. Service is knowedgable and polite.
I have fired Park's, Burpee, and several others but will continue using Baker Creek for sure.

This is my third year using their seed. My last order was placed on a Sunday evening and in my mailbox by the following Wednesday, with a note apologizing for any delay! Their seeds have the highest germination/success rate of the various online sources I've made purchases from. Always my first stop when looking for seed.

I am a produce grower that uses natural methods of growing. I am pleased to know that Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company is listed as a safe seed company. I have grown with Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds for two years now and will be growing their seed this year too. I sell produce at my local farmers market so I order seed in bulk quantities when I can and Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. is able to fill my orders. The seed arrives in usually 2 - 3 days which is very convenient for me. I have had very successful experiences with these seeds. Most all the seed comes up and has excellent yields. I especially like the selection of melon seeds. My favorite is the yellow Canary Melon. I also love the scallop squash and will be growing these again this year. I feel like the people at Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. are my friends. I have emailed questions and received prompt replies. They are very helpful and friendly people.

Wow, are they good! Ordered on Wednesday. Shipped on Thursday. Arrived on Saturday. And this was regular shipping! Half way across the US! The whole order was received just as ordered, plus a free packet of tomato seeds. Thanks. Now it's up to me to get things growing.

Customer service, when I called to request a catalogue, was very friendly. The catalogue was very descriptive and helpful in determining whether a variety would work in our "short season" Northern zone (zone 4). The seeds arrived promptly within 4 days of on-line ordering and came with a free seed packet that was much appreciated! Their web site was very easy to use and had excellent descriptions and tips for planting success, as did the back of the seed packets.
My only regret was that about six of the 20 or so packets I had originally chosen from the catalogue were sold out by the time I got around to ordering. Fortunately they have such amazing variety I was able to choose a substitute item that was almost as great a choice.

This is my second year buying from Baker Creek and I've been very pleased both times. Ordering is easy, customer service is great, items arrive quickly, germination rates are awesome and the free package of seeds they throw in are much appreciated. It would be helpful if seed companies gave more info on days to maturity or whether something will or will not grow well in a particular zone in their catalogs, but their catalogs are still the best by far and they have such a huge selection that going through the catalog has almost become a hobby! Only problem I have is that with so many cool varieties it takes me a long time to choose and Baker Creek seems to be so popular that some of my favorite items sell out before I order which means I have to choose and order more quickly or start earlier - LOL

Personable, friendly customer service. Wonderful quality and output with their seeds. Wished for a bit more info with packets, but I've always been happy with the quality and quirkiness of their selections. It's obvious this is more than just a business, but a labor of love as well.

I have ordered from Baker Creek two times so far this 2010 season. They ask that you allow eight days for your order but both times my order arrived within four days of being placed. I urge anyone interested in buying heirloom seeds to patronize this company.

My orders have always been signed with a "thank you" by someone at the company, which lets me know that my order was important to keep Jere Gettle's entrepreneurial message about heirloom seeds alive and thriving. This is the only seed company that I have ordered from in the last three years and the only one that I expect to order from in the future.

I visited their very cool shop in the old bank building in Sonoma and forgot to get some of the seeds I wanted, so I ordered online. Wow, they had so many varieties I couldn't get anywhere else! 7 varieties of snow peas, and the Sugar Anns are just now producing and they're incredible. Fast shipping, good germination, green thumbs up.

My first experience with this company has been very satisfactory so far. The seeds I ordered arrived promptly. I am pleasantly impressed with their colorful catalog which is chock full of information & the fact that they have such a wide & extensive variety of heirloom seeds. I believe we should be supporting the people & organizations that promote heirloom seeds & their preservation. It is important to maintain these varieties & to avoid the proliferation of genetically modified seed.

I ordered seeds on April 6th (I assume this is abusy time for all seed companies) in the late afternoon on their website. I got the seeds April 9th. Great price for a lot of seeds, plus a free packet of pepper seeds. I was impressed.

Baker Creek shipped EXTREMELY quickly - I got my order in 2 days.

One of the packages of seeds had a few discolored (obviously dried or molded seeds). With natural products, such things do happen. I'm not usually one to complain, but I did mention it in my email to the company, and they sent a replacement pack for no charge. I was pretty impressed that the company wants to supply quality seeds and seeks to please the customer. I will definitely order from this company in the future. Great service - I am 100% satisfied.

After visiting Chaco Canyon for the first time in January, I found Chaco Canyon beans (white beans) while looking for beans to order. I bought them along with my other items. I'm a realistic person, not too concerned about immediate response and such. But i have to say the turnaround on my order was quick. What amazes me about this company is that they are a source of what for me was hard to find Asian vegetables. Having lived overseas in the Philippines and Japan for many years I have always tried to grow those vegetables I had come to covet back here in Southern Illinois (6a). Was blown away to find in one highly rated source all the vegetables I have grown and many I had been unable to find without doing a lot of traveling. I can now avoid all the low quality chinese wholesalers I have been dealing with. This company is perfect for all those interested in Asian vegetables.

Best of all, they included a packet of free seeds that is USEFUL - Henderson's Pink Ponderosa tomato, an old heirloom beef-steak that I am definitely going to try.
