Comments regarding Nourse Farms Inc.

Purchased 6 Blueberries, 5 Yellow Gold/5 Purlpe Raspberries, 10 Triple Crown Blackberries, 4 different kinds of strawberries(totaling around 125 plants), and 35 Red Raspberry plants from Nourse this year. All plants arrived in excellent condition at exactly the time promised. After planting, lost only a couple of strawberry plants, due most likely to the fact that I'm a first year gardener, and had never planted strawberries before. All other plants are doing great.
Their web site is well designed the roses were mostly moldy twigs, with, strangely
enough, roots that were chopped short, as if someone had played some kind of a cruel joke by chopping off nearly
the entire root systems. Bpleased with Nourse Farms.

This is the second consecutive year I have purchased from Nourse Farms. A friend recommended them to me last year and I couldn't be more pleased. They have the most comprehensive list of brambles I have seen anywhere & their plant quality is second to none. The bare root plants arrived in great shape and thrived in my garden. Besides all of that, they set you up for success by sending along a very useful planting guide to ensure that it is done correctly. Not only that, but they sent a sample of this stuff called "Agrigel" that helps alleviate transplant shock. All of this free of charge.
Customer service people are helpful, in fact when I called to see what plants I had ordered last year, as not to duplicate, they quickly brought up my purchasing history.

I ordered one each of Patriot and Chandler blueberry bushes on 1-7-04. I received them 3-4-04 and I must say they are of excellent quality. Large, well rooted, budding plants that I'm sure will thrive. Not only am I happy with the plants, the price and shipping costs were very reasonable.

Excellent customer service. I never received plants that were that healthy and strong from any other nursery. This includes a large number of raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, gooseberry and other fruit varieties. What a difference compared with Millers and the other lot. Nourse is not just a trader but actually grows the plants until shipping.

Nourse Farms is by far the best source of berry plants on the planet earth! I have ordered blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and rhubarb from them over the past several years.

All plants are tested for viral infection. All plants have been robust and quite well developed for the low price paid. In a word: EXCEPTIONAL!

I've moved to a new home in a new state and I will be establishing new beds of berries. You can bet that I will be ordering all plants from Nourse Farms. Regardless of the type of berry plant you desire, I'd check out Nourse Farm and compare their low costs to anyother catalog source.

WOW!! I ordered several Blueberry bushes from Nourse Farms this spring and was totally impressed!! The plants were huge, healthy and very well packaged. FAST, FAST shipping.
I waited until fall to leave the feedback, as I wanted to see how they did. They just THRIVED!! I even got a few berries this year and they were huge. Wonderful planting directions and reasonable prices. I'm going to order more blueberries as well as raspberries in the spring!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Both one of my friends and I have been ordering from Nourse for the last several years. The quality and size of the plants are very good (there may be a rare runt), and they grow well once in the garden. In addition, knowing that they have a quality system in place to keep the plants free from disease gives me peace of mind. I will certainly continue to order from them.

Some prices seem a bit high, some very good. Better prices for larger orders. People are nice, quality of plants high.

I ordered Blackberry, Raspberry, Gooseberry, Strawberry and Asparagus plants. Plants arrived as ordered. Very well packed. Excellent customer service. Plants were all very healthy and much better than I had expected.

I ordered raspberry plants online and recieved a confirmation letter through the mail, and big healthy plants arrived when promised.

I ordered 100 asparagus plants from them in the morning. An hour later, my wife called saying she just got a phone call from our credit card company wanting to know if 4 charges for the exact same amount were real charges. To make a long story short, a call to Nourse and I now have 100 asparagus plants for free with very profuse apologies all the way around.

I ordered bare root blueberries and raspberries through the web in Jan 2001. I didn't receive an email confirmation but when I inquired about my order, I received a response within minutes and was told that they send the confirmation through snailmail. They shipped on the exact day that they said they would on the confirmation and I also received a UPS email notice saying they had shipped. Both arrived inplastic bags in a heavy paper shipping bag and had large healthy root systems. The blueberry roots were wrapped with plastic wrap and had enough peat clinging to them to keep them slightly moist. The almost pencil thick stems were loosely tied to a small bamboo stake and there was no damage at all. The raspberries had damp paper shreds in the bag and were in equally good shape with healthy buds at the base. Nourse doesn't have bargain basement prices but I feel like I got a good deal because of the quality of the plants I received.

For two years the 3 types of raspberries and two types of blueberries I have planted have been great. No problems.

In 1997 I purchased tissue culture LAUREN red raspberry plants, field grown TAYLOR red raspberry plants, and CAVENDISH strawberry plants. The tissue culture plants arrived small, but exploded into new growth. All of these were the best berry plants I have purchased in years. Out of 120 plants only one did not grow! Variety selection is wide. Catalog information on is informative and accurate. Nourse Farms produces small fruit plants for the commercial grower, but is willing to sell small lots to the home gardener at reasonable prices.
