My plants arrived in excellent condition with a very thorough planting guide and absorbent polymer crystals to help prevent transplant shock. I will definitely order from this company again if I want to plant more berries.

on a scale of 1-10 this buisness is definately a 20,, very helpful people in the office ,either on the phone or by email. plants arrive when they say they will ,root system is very well established and they arrive with wet root systems.

I recieved my order yesterday and was very impressed. I ordered raspberries and strawberries. The raspberry roots were so long and full and had shoots on some of them. My strawberry plants (honeyoye and cabot) both had nice roots and looked healthy.

I will definately order from this company again.

Overall a wonderful experience. I am a very new gardener. Recently, I made 2 orders of blueberries, gooseberries, and currants from this company. I found their website to be well organized and informative. I had some email correspondence with the company about their plants and found the replies to be prompt, polite and very helpful. The plants were well packaged, large, healthy and at an incredible price! I was also thrilled to find a small complimentary packet of agrigel to use with my plants. The plants have been in the ground for around 6 weeks and are growing beautifully. This company came highly recommended and exceeded my expectations.

I bought gooseberry plants from Nourse about a month ago, and am very happy with the quality, price and service. The guy who took the order was courteous, helpful and answered all my questions. These bushes are much cheaper, and larger (2-3 branches). I purchased a gooseberry plant several months earlier from another mail order nursery and received a barely 6 inch single twig. The Nourse gooseberries are vigorous and doing extremely well. I would definitely order from here again.

I have just received my third order from Nourse in as many years and am once again very pleased with the quality. I have ordered various raspberries, black currants, red currants, white currants, and gooseberries from Nourse. Always the plants have been in very good condition upon arrival. Sometimes the currants are not as tall as plants from other nurseries but the stems at the base are very sturdy, and in any case one should prune black currants when first planting. It's more important in the first year to get good roots going. I am consistently impressed with Nourse Farms plants and their shipping and packaging is well done. I will continue to order from them when I need berry plants in future.

Got raspberries and blackberries from Nourse. It was my first time ordering from them and I'm delighted with the plants. The roots on the raspberry plants were as much as three feet long! I had to keep them in water for a couple of weeks. I added a little EM1 to the soaking water and hoped for the best. Most of the plants started growing. I've planted them now and all are looking good. Many of the raspberries are already sending up new shoots.

Norse Farms is a dream come true! Fantastic service, prices and the healthiest fruiting plants I have ever purchased! I intend to place my order early to improve my plant selection choices. I was still eating strawberries and raspberries at the end of November in zone 5 with little protection!

Quality in berries is a big issue because healthier plants will give you a much faster start. Nourse has the healthiest plants I have found from any source. So after trying several other nurseries, I now always order berries from Nourse if they have the varieties I want. The variety selection is very good, and they have always been right on time with orders. Strongly recommended!

In early May, we received a gift of 24 Jersey Knight asparagus crowns, 6 Lauren bare-root raspberries and 6 Prelude bare-root raspberries from Nourse. The raspberry roots arrived moist, 1-3 feet long and well-developed. A few of the asparagus crowns were quite small but most had an impressive number of roots. Detailed planting instructions and crystals to attract water to the roots were included. Now, about half the asparagus have 4 foot high ferns, 1/4 have 3 foot ferns and 1/4 have 2 foot ferns. All of the raspberry plants have leafed out and half already sent up some new growth further out along the roots. Five plants even produced some berries, to my surprise. This order was a gift, but I would definitely buy from this company myself.

I've tried many mail-order companies over the past decade and I've yet to find the quality anywhere that you'll find with Nourse plants! In 2006 I started with 25 Caroline Raspberry plants and 2 Chandler Blueberry plants. I followed the directions and what a patch we have now. Berries gallore. I was so happy with Nourses', this spring In planted 25 Jersey Knight Asparagus plants. They were poking through in 6 days. I'd recomend Nourse to anyone who's looking for top quality plants and the staff is also very helpful with any questions.

We ordered several raspberries from Nourse, which arrived extremely well packed - they also provided a tracking number so that I didn't have to email or call to see whether the package was sent. The dormant bare root plants looked quite dormant, but I planted according to instructions. Of the two varietiess I ordered, it is clear one was more vigorous - by now they are all growing fine. The smaller, more dormant variety is a slower grower, but 3 of 5 have begun sprouting. The root quality and generally healthy appearance show that this company takes care and pride in their plants.

I placed a small order with Nourse and it just arrived yesterday. Prior to ordering I contacted customer service with a few questions about varieties and I found them to be incredibly helpful.

I ordered 15 blackberries & raspberries from Nourse and they arrived very healthy and well packed. The following spring, only 1 raspberry plant survived. All the rest had borer damage through the tops of the canes.

I hadn't encountered that type of pest before. I don't know if there were eggs or larvae in the stock or if the borers arrived later. It probably wasn't their fault but it was still disappointing to say the least.

Nonetheless, I am planning to place another order with them because I was very impressed with the exceptional quality and health of their plants, far better than any other company I've ordered from. I expect to have better results as I will be more attentive to early signs of cane borers and other pests.

Thornless blackerries we received from Nourse Nursery was in great shape even though the box was unopened for a week after the package arrived. They are now in their new home and loving it!
We will us Nourse again.

We ordered three batches of raspberries and all arrived on time, well packed and were well above expectations. Some of the canes had root systems over 4 ft long! We were impressed with Nourse to say the least.

I ordered 1000 strawberry plants from Nourse and must say that most of the plants turned out very good. I believe that there were only about 30 bad plants out of the 1000 which is very good compared to other companies I have dealt with in the past. Slightly higher priced than others but worth it. Also ordered 25 raspberry plants. Did not turn out as good as the strawberries but could have been my fault. Over all would order from again.

I ordered gooseberries from Nourse, Large robust plants arrived and took off as soon as I planted them. They thrived all summer. I couldn't be more pleased with the company. I'll definately be ordering again this year.

I ordered from Nourse simply because I couldn't find gooseberries anywhere else. The plants came bareroot with the crystals recommended for use at planting time. These people know what they're doing!. The plants took off immediately and have become healthier as the season has progressed.
I only wish that I had ordered my blueberries and red currant from them. Instead, I bought them in the nursery of a hardware chain and haven't seen them show any signs of growth.
I have caroline raspberries coming from Nourse this fall. I am confident that I will be able to provide more postivie feedback next spring, and I look forward to continued dealings with Nourse. I have no problems recommending them to my fellow gardners.

Based on DG'ers recommendations, I ordered my strawberries at Nourse this year. I've never had plants do as well, they just took off and look great. I will be ordering lots more from these folks.

I have placed several orders with these folks (for a wide variety of items), and I have NEVER been disappointed! Nourse's small-fruit plants are second to none; they've even survived an attack by marauding deer, when the lesser plants (ordered from another, less stellar company) succumbed. Can't wait for next spring, so I can order more...

Wonderful company. I ordered 25 Strawberry plants, they came when I requested them. The plants were healthy and are growing great. They gave a lot of useful information for me to successfully plant and grow the berries. I will order from them again.

A really excellent business. I had ordered from Henry Fields and Gurneys (Fields and Gurneys turned out to have the same address and be owned by the same company) and gotten dead plants from both and my requests for a refund were ignored. Yes, I do know the difference between dead and dormant. The Fields and Gurney's plants were dissicated, badly packed, etc.

i ordered new plants from Nourse, and the difference was night and day, beautifuly packed, plump, all have done very well.

Nourse really cares. Give your business to good people like Nourse.

I ordered 20 raspberry plants for the first time this year from this company. Received the order yesterday in great condition and packed extremely well, great pamphlet on planting enclosed.

I ordered 25 Jersey King Asparagus in early April. They arrived a week later and appeared to be a little drier than optimum and did not show any signs of growth. I've never planted asparagus before and didn't know what to expect. I planted them in an 8" trench and covered them with 2 inches of soil (as per instructions), and only 6 days later they started emerging! All of the plants have since emgered and have developed into strong, healthy looking ferns in just one month. I'm very pleased with my experience with Nourse farms and will definitely do business with them again.

I received my order from Nourse Farms yesterday, which was right on time. The bare root raspberries are large and look to be in excellent condition, as do the rhubarb bulbs. I'll plant them today and fully expect good results. Everything was well packed and instructions for planting and care were included

Received 75 strawberries (3 varities), 40 brambles (8 diff varities), and 5 horseradish roots from these folks. All were of a very good size with well developed root systems and the vast majority (98%) were already out of dormancy showing signs of growth. Even my husband (a non-gardener) commented on how big and healthy the plants were! Great packaging - have them in the ground and will let you know how they do.

I ordered 15 raspberries, 4 blueberries, 4 currants, and 2 goosebrries last spring. All of the plants arrived on time and in great condition. Their prices (and shipping) were very reasonable, and the quality far exceeded my expectations. Everything is growing well, including a raspberry plant that my dog pulled out of the ground and chewed up. I stuck it back in the ground and, to my suprise, it came back to life and is growning again. Nourse Farms will have all of my future berry business.

This is a great company. I purchased 5 different kinds of raspberries, 25 asparagus roots and 4 different kinds of blueberries this spring. They all arrived in great condition and on time.

Since I am a novice at growing blueberries I have called 3 times for advice and have always been treated courteously by respresentatives that are knowledgeable.

I ordered too late in the spring and was horrified when the raspberries I wanted were sold out. I called and they put me on a waiting list. There was one I HAD TO HAVE (Caroline)and it was available from a big mailorder company so I ordered 5 of them for 19.50 to be sure I at least got something. Later I received a notice from Nourse that they could send me 10 for $19.80. When I got both sets of plants there was no difference in the quality and they both had the same tags on them. I'll bet the mailorder company got them from Nourse because I know they supply other companies.
