Ordered 3 persimmons and 2 blueberries from them. Excellent packing of the plants, arrived quickly and with tracking so I could see what was going on. Blueberries were in great shape and well rooted. The persimmons were as described when I ordered but very thin, pencil thin. They are sold by height not caliper so I guess I can't complain, but I am mentioning it for those reading. I was able to use a coupon and get free shipping otherwise I don't think the plants justify the price.

Richard at Plant Me Green is absolutely wonderful to work with. His facility has nearly 3 million trees on it with expert care. He spent a great deal of time with me just to sell me a few very large pecan trees. He even came in and met me Saturday morning when they are closed since it was the only time I could get there. He toured me and my wife around there for nearly two hours. His trees are much much better then any I have obtained at other nurseries and much cheaper. He even asked me to call him when I got home sincenit was a six hour drive to make sure we arrived safe. He also shipped me plants and they arrived perfect. I could go on but if you buy anywhere else, I seriously doubt you will get this same service or quality. Great Christian family. Paul Plante MD

Posted on January 21, 2016, updated January 28, 2018 I ordered four pecan trees, and received them last week. I ordered the smallest trees they offered as I wanted the tap root to be small, and to develop in my own soil. With larger trees the tap root can be damaged during digging, which lowers survivability. The packaging was excellent. The trees were bigger than what I ordered. I was initially concerned the tap roots may be damaged, but all four trees had intact tap roots and good feeder roots. To my surprise, PMG included a free fifth tree - a Creek pecan. This was one of the types of pecan I had considered ordering, so was very happy to see it was included as a free tree! This was the only tree to have some damage to the tap root, but can't complain as it was free. The prices were also very good - especially for pecan trees. I also like that they offer several different sizes at varying prices. This gives the buyer more options. I also spoke with PMG a few times. Everyone was always very helpful, and willing to answer my questions. Overall, I'm very happy with the trees, the price, and customer service. I received bigger trees than ordered, a free tree, and all at a good price.

On January 28th, 2018, RobThomas changed the rating from positive to negative and added the following: After receiving a couple of more orders from PMG, I must change my original rating. I was initially happy with my first order. However, I have now planted 8 trees from PMG. Of those, only three have survived. That is a dismal 37% survival rate. I have planted hundreds of bare root trees, so I am very familiar with planting and caring for them. I ordered again from PMG this year because I needed to replace my pollenizers that died. I received that order yesterday, and inspected the plants today. All three trees had approximately 50% of their tap roots cut off. Pecans must have an intact tap root, and if cut off, will have a low survival rate. As such, I expect these three trees are also unlikely to survive. I could ask that the trees be replaced, but each replacement tree would cost 50% of the cost, plus shipping. It wouldn't be economical to keep replacing these trees. I will say that the times I've spoken with folks at PMG, they have been very nice and helpful. But I won't order pecan trees from them again.

A GardenWeb member saw the posts included below that were reported to be from the business's own computer. That member wrote the company to ask from their response. Apparently they had been a regular customer and felt betrayed. The response was as follows: "We have a computer in our offices for public use. We are in a very small town and many / most local customers do not have Internet. Some of our first customers used this PC for reviews. Later when we were informed that any review from these computers would be listed as internal, we stopped asking and or allowing anyone to give us reviews from this PC. So do not be too distressed. R.R. / PlantMeGreen" So, apparently the owner of this company expects us to believe that people in his town have their plants delivered all around the country by FedEx and then travel back across multiple states to his little nursery with it's special computer just to give positive reviews that are mostly written as if the same person wrote them! Beware! Be very careful about doing business with this guy!

Posted on September 19, 2014, updated May 16, 2017 I've ordered from this company a couple of times. Their trees are good. PMG also replaced one of my trees that died within a year. In addition, they are very helpful when you e-mail them asking for advice about how to care for your plants. I would recommend them.

On May 16th, 2017, rissole changed the rating from positive to neutral and added the following: I recently sent this company an e-mail asking for advice about one of the trees I ordered from them years ago, but I got absolutely no response. This fits in with the way other customers have said they haven't gotten responses as well. Anyway, it's unlikely I'll ever order from this company again.

For the last three years I have bought fruit trees, and bushes from Plant Me Green.com The Apple trees came with fruit on them and were very well packaged. The instructions were helpful but I needed some questions answered due to our harsh winters. The people at Plant Me Green were great and did not make me feel dumb. They gave me advice and my trees survived each winter. They have tripled in size and each year we enjoyed delicious apples. The blackberries and raspberries grew bigger than I hoped and my family loved picking them each day for breakfast. Last month I again ordered from Plant Me Green.com. ALL the trees arrived quickly and in wonderful condition. It even had fruit on them. We called for advice and they were so helpful with all my questions. I am looking forward to eating this spring!. I have recommended this web store to others and they have thanked me. Finding patient and polite people in customer service is a nice surprise in today's world.

I asked them to send a photo if possible. They quickly responded and sent the photos. But I never asked them to pull the plants from the field and take them to the warehouse and prep them for shipping. All I wanted was a picture of the plants in the field so I could see the quality of the plants I could expect to receive. The plants looked fantastic and I was going to purchase them, but had some questions about other types that might be available in the future that might not grow so large. When I sent a note requesting further information I was dropped like a stone. Apparently they are only interested in a sale, not listening to customers and answering questions. It is very unfortunate as now I feel unable to order from them due to not purchasing the plants that were inquired about. Too bad as their plants did look like they were worth buying.

On June 10th, 2015, Fishman1 added the following: The fact that no attempt was made to contact me after that correspondence only shows that it was a take those plants or do not ask any questions situation. Even though further information or clarification about availability was clearly asked for. No further response will be made on this issue.
On June 11th, 2015, Fishman1 changed the rating from negative to positive and added the following: I decided to change my rating to positive because I did not actually purchase anything from PMG, and therefor should not influence the way a man runs his own business . Dear Phil,

He is a copy of the email (less the 4 pictures I sent). That was sent to you yesterday afternoon. A few hours after you requested pictures. I did expect to actually just take pictures in the field / on the nursery, but it was pouring rain out and I was getting soaked, just picking them up. Anyway here is the email again.

Phil,

It is pouring rain out, so I brought the 3 plants in the warehouse to take some pictures. They are attached.

NY / Long Island qualities for free shipping on all orders over $100…. If you use a coupon or discount that takes you under $100 the free shipping will not work, you will need to purchase something else….. get a bigger plant….. or just not use the 10% discount. Look at the DIEHARD for $2.50, it is a great price and almost at our cost.

These exact trees will stay in the warehouse for a while (it is storming out) and can ship today if needed.

I hope this helps,

Richard R.

I pasted it exactly as it was sent to you (again without the attached photos) and without your previous email asking for pictures and if shipping would be free to NY.

Not sure why you think the plants were prepped for shipping.... they were brought inside because it was storming out and I could not photograph them in the rain. We have 1,600 acres of nursery. If, I run them back out on the nursery (in the rain) and the customer (you) then orders them. I have to go back out and get them and may not get the same ones (we have usually 100's to pick from). It looks like you are angry and I am not sure why. Everyone wants the sale, but I truly felt like I was helping you and going above and beyond the norm. I will try and see this from your view and will add another line to my email for the next customer with a similar request that says something like..... "These plants will go back out on the nursery after the rain lets up." I can assure you, that you miss read my intention and I am sorry for that, please accept my apology for toughing one of your nerves or hot buttons. It was absolutely not my intention. If all 3 which are planted in different sections of the yard died this type must not be hardy in zone 6 through the winter months. They were well packaged and shipped quickly. This is the third purchase we have made from this nursery in the last few months and all of our trees and plants have been larger and healthier than we expected from a mail order nursery. It has been a pleasure planting this year.

I had a very positive experience with your company. I have used and reviewed other online nurseries. Usually I am getting what I expected and do not have any surprises. Your company, Plant me green, exceeded my expectations. I asked for delivery on either Thursday or Friday last week and they arrived Thurs. I ordered six, 2-3 Ft. bare root trees. I received 5 trees that were all about 4 ft and 1 that was almost 5 feet tall. You over delivered. They were packaged nicely also. I will order again next year and will recommend you.

Wow! I've probably ordered from a dozen other nurseries before (as you can see from my other reviews, if interested, most of which have been very positive), and my experience with PlantMeGreen was as positive as any of them. Perhaps part of the reason I'm so pleased was that my expectations were low just because of their low prices. I ordered two pecan trees that were half the price of any other source I might have ordered from (mainly because they were the only source I could find for the variety I wanted), but from the advice over the phone, the e-mail shipping notifications, the quality of the trees, the packaging... everything was just A+. I only ordered two of their cheapest size pecans, but the man on the phone not only helped me with information about the trees I was buying (including information that other nurseries I've dealt with in the past haven't been able to tell me like what kind of seedlings were used for rootstock) but even took some time to give me advice on grafting my own pecan trees. The order itself was straightforward and timely. I received an e-mail about a week ahead of shipment to give me the option of postponing the shipping date because arrival was going to be right around Christmas, but that wasn't a problem for me. The trees themselves were very healthy with outstanding root systems. I've only dealt with them for this one little order, but based on this order I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I ordered 3 apple trees. When they arrived it was a scorching hot day and the trees were wilted in the box. I certainly understood that was outside of their control. I called them to let them know. There was an answering machine and I left a message with my name and number. I went ahead and planted thinking they might bounce back. I received no call back from the company. After a few weeks it was obvious they were not going to make it so I called again and again got an answering machine. I left my name and number and again no call back. I waited a week and informed credit card company of the situation and they reversed the charge. Then I got a call from them. Quite rude. Of course they just sated their policy, which included informing them. They did not seems to understand I had left messages without a call back. The customer service person said they did not want my future business, which of course was not a possibility.

Over the last two years I have placed two orders with Plant Me Green Nursery for four Bracken's Brown Beauty magnolias. They arrived at exactly the correct spring planting time along the front range here in tenuous zone 6a Louisville, CO as per my request, extremely well packaged and in absolutely perfect condition. Not even one leaf was lost in transit. Both times I was impressed with the size and healthiness of the trees, much larger than I had expected. They were planted immediately as per instructions, have survived our Colorado winters, and are growing amazingly well, even having bloomed already. Plant Me Green Customer Service is top notch and the owner, Mr. Roccanti, even e-mailed me personally. This nursery is hands down one of the best I have ever dealt with. They are honest and reliable and their pricing is more than fair. I will definitely order from them again in the future.

This was my first time ordering from plantmegreen. I liked the options they had online and I got a lovely crape myrtle. I ordered it on Monday and their website says they ship M-Wed so I thought I would be getting it in a week because they would ship it by that Wed. They sent it out the following Monday (1 week later) and I live in WA so it took 5 days to get here from FL. The reason for a negative review vs a neutral one was two fold: 1. I assumed they would use faster shipping because it was wilted when it arrived 5 days later (obviously) 2. The plant was forced into a box that was about a foot too short for the tree. An 8" portion of one of the branches was broken and all the other tops of the branches are bent. If I ordered a 3' tree, I'd like to receive that entire specimen instead of the top being bent and broken due to poor shipping practices. I have planted the tree now and hope it will recover next year but I don't think I will order from them again when there are so many options. order #343908

Dear edawsey,

#1 - standard & free shipping from FL to WA is 5 days - you did not contact us for advice - you choose "standard / free" shipping - you can choose 1 day or 2 day options also from our site. Why would you assume we would ship it faster if you choose ground?

#2 - The crape myrtle was shipped in a 4 foot long box. You ordered a plant that is listed at 2 - 3 feet in height. You say "If I ordered a 3' tree, I'd like to receive that entire specimen..." You received a tree much larger than 3 ft, if it was in a 4 foot box and you say it was still 8 inches taller than the box. We should have pruned the extra tall branch in question and apologize for now requiring you to prune it.

Posted on July 4, 2014, updated July 7, 2014 I live in Austin, TX. Back in March (2014) our local nurseries sold out of the Caddo pecan tree variety and I was delighted to find the Plant Me Green had them available. Based on the good reviews here, I felt confident in ordering. Once we received the tree, our certified arborist planted the tree immediately upon arrival. He planted it properly according to the instructions and used the included Die Hard Transplant medium when planting the tree. My husband and I took very great care to water the tree according to instructions, but sadly, the tree has not survived. We waited until June 4, 2014 to contact Plant Me Green because we were holding out hope that the tree might spout a few leaves, but no luck. Plant Me Green has a replacement policy, so I emailed the Mr. Roccanti on June 4, 2014 and, although he requests two photos for documentation, I sent 5. I have never received a response to my request for either a refund (preferred) or replacement from anyone at Plant Me Green. It is now July 4, 2014, and I have emailed them again, including the original request with photos that I had sent on June 4. Given the positive reviews here, it is deeply disappointing that Mr. Roccanti has not even responded to my emails. I have given this company a neutral rating for now. I will followup with a change in my rating of this company based on the response I receive or the lack thereof. Given that this company has not responded in a month's time to my original request, I am not confident that I will receive a response.

In addition to the phone call, I also received a follow-up email confirming the shipping. I am most happy to join others who have given Plant Me Green a positive rating and I'm very pleased with Plant Me Green's customer service.

After reading so many negative reviews about so many nurseries I really didn't have my hopes up. But PlantMeGreen.com delivered! They shipped out two Loblolly pine trees and they arrived about 3 days later. The trees were in GREAT shape, were packaged very well, and had been watered thoroughly. I planted them a day later and they both are thriving. I ordered two additional Loblolly pines this past Monday. These arrived on Wednesday! Again, they were in perfect condition and packaged with great care! The customer service has also been great. They took the time to send me pictures of some of their pines and let me choose the ones I wanted to purchase. They also offer free shipping on orders over $100. I purchased 6 bare root 2-3 ft trees from plant me green and I don't know if Houdini works there or not, but I ordered the trees just before I took lunch on Tuesday. My mother calls me on Wednesday and says that fedex just dropped off a huge 10 ft box at my house. Mom lives right behind me. So, I think and say, I didn't order anything. Except some little pecan trees that should be here next week sometime. So, I then went and checked by email and sure enough they had sent me an email with a fedex tracking number and everything. Well, I don't know how they got them to me so quick "Houdini maybe", but they were like 8 ft long. I guess, I will have to just dig bigger holes. Thanks plant me green, J Dog.

I ordered two 5 gal pecan trees late on a Saturday night. I got an email on Monday saying that my pecan trees had shipped with a FedEx tracking number. They arrived at my door 2 days later. I was happy with the size of the trees. About 6 ft tall and healthy looking. I planted them about 3 weeks ago now. I would order from Plant me green again. I shopped on line for about 2 hours, before I found what I wanted that was instock at a reasonable price. JT from Memphis.
