I ordered a tree a little over 3 weeks ago, never received a confirmation email (their website says you will get one in 24 hours). After 2 weeks I sent 2 emails to the company requesting the status of my order and did not receive a reply. At the 3 week mark I called Kelly using the phone number listed on Dave's Garden (they don't list a phone number on their website). Kelly did promptly call me back and inform me that the tree I ordered was not in stock. She also told me that she had not checked her email in two weeks! She stated that she would refund my money which then took 2 days. Kelly was very nice but I would not recommend ordering from this company, it does not seem like they have things together. I don't like having to chase down my money.

I took a risk after reading that they were hard to contact and it's true. After weeks of attempting to reach them, they have my money and I have no way of knowing whether or not they received the order. They have a great selection of Japanese maples but their business skills are seriously lacking.

Posted on November 2, 2013, updated November 9, 2013 Posted on May 12, 2006, updated November 2, 2013 I am a pendulousplants.com junkie and have ordered nearly every weeping tree that grows in my zone from them. Every single tree arrived in great condition and they have grown like crazy. It's so exciting to see them thrive. My neighbors can't believe the rare and unusal plants I have gotten from them. Some I have seen nowhere else. I have 2 more coming. Now where do I put them? Thanks and keep up the great work! Todd (Chicago)

On November 2nd, 2013, dybbuk changed the rating from positive to negative and added the following: Well, I used to be a fan. I placed an order a month ago. Money went to them through PayPal. No plants showed up. I have emailed all addresses including the one provided above. I have left voicemails to Kelly. Never a response. They have my money. PayPal is working on it, but it shouldn't have to go to that extent.

1) They seem to offer plants in stock but the cart links to PayPal do not work for either Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari browsers. 2) They have never replied to my numerous, simple emails over a year's time-span and won't provide a phone number on their website to contact them.

I'm extremely pleased with this company. The plants were received in great condition and in only 3 days after purchase. They were and are very healthy and I will be ordering again soon.

Sometimes you can search and find just what you want, at an excellent price and be really disappointed when your plant is delivered. NOT with this company!! They gave me great feed-back when I contacted them with questions regarding the purchase of an Acer Plamatum dissectum 'Tamukeyama'. I was a little apprehensive in purchasing a Japanese Maple on-line, but at their prices, I thought I'd give it a try and I was not disappointed. My 'Tamukeyam' arrived in great condition, was delivered quickly and is still beautiful. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered a Japanese Laceleaf Maple 'Veridis' and then also emailed them about another plant that I wanted. They responded to my email quickly. I also requested the tree be shipped to my work address instead of home (Paypal had home address) and they waited for me to verify they had the correct address before shipping so it did not sit out in the sun all day. The tree was as described and better. There were NO broken branches or wilted leaves. It looked better than some I have seen at local nurseries!!! I am looking forward to ordering again.

Very pleasant experience with this company. This was an online order which was delivered in 5 days from hitting 'click'. This was my first time using PayPal. I normally will not use it. It was as smooth as silk. Don't know what I've been leery of for so long... Company wrote, letting me know they had the tree in stock. (That was nice!) I'm sure I would have been able to request them hold it for cooler shipping weather, but I took a shot. Glad I did. Tree arrived in very good condition. Packing was excellent and was also eco-conscious. I had a couple questions, which I emailed. I heard back in less than 24 hours with full and complete answers along with some very practical tips. I'm surprised the tree did as well as it did, considering the time of year I chose to have this shipped to me. It was a little stressed, yes, but that is expected with hot shipping trucks/planes and it's already bouncing back (not to imply it was in bad shape or anything, just a little stressed). I believe its bounching back has everything to do with the great packing. Soil was still moist (but not soggy or nasty) and the method and materials used were so good the tree didn't seem to have moved at all. Overall excellent experience with PendulousPlants. I will absolutely be ordering from them again. Annie

I received my first order from this company on 6/4/04, and WOW! Ordered 3 weeping trees, and they are gorgeous. Full, well-branched, and EXTREMELY WELL-PACKED. And the best part is the trees are shipped in their pots so I can plant when I am ready. And they arrived earlier than the tracking info had shown. A+ all the way!!!

I ordered my two trees real early this spring. One tree was ready for shipment, the other was not ready until May. I received an email asking if I wanted them one shipped out immediately, or if I wanted to wait until May and have them both shipped at the same time. I asked to have them shipped at the same time. I just received them and they were packed with great care and the trees look absolutely gorgeous. The prices are not bad because shipping cost is included in the posted price of the plants. Customer response was great! I got what I wanted, when I wanted it, with the level of care that would make any gardener happy. Thank you! Karen

I was very pleased. My e-mail questions were answered very promptly. The Japanese maple that I ordered arrived two days later, was a good quality plant, and was very well-packed. It was potted in moist (but not wet) soil. I would definitely order from this company again. They have a very interesting selection of plants.
