First time ordering from this company. Ordered 3 packs of Firethorn seeds (Pyracantha coccinea), which were supposed to only be 10 seeds/pack. To my grateful surprise, when the seeds arrived (about 9 or 10 days after my internet order) there were around 30 seeds per packet! Each packet had clearly printed germination/planting instructions. I'll be starting these soon so they'll be ready for the ground next spring, and I'll try my best to remember to update this review with germination and growth results.

I ordered Seagrapes and Sensitive Plant seeds recently. First, I have to say I REALLY appreciated being able to print out the order form and order thru post office. I don't like ordering on websites I've never done business with.I received the seeds in very good condition. The packets had clear, understandable planting instructions. I am going away for a week and haven't planted them yet, so I can't comment on the germ. rate. I loved the catalog they sent! I will definitly order from them again, probably as soon as i get back home!

They filled my order promptly. Service was great, seeds come in small zip-loc pouch and were marked with each variety and nicely packed for shipment, they sent me everything exactly as I ordered it. They have a great selection and wonderful prices, the seeds have seem to be of good quality with quantities as advertised and shipping is timely.

I have not ordered anything from this site, but in my hunt for exotic seeds I noticed that the following sites are modified mirrors of eachother: Virtual Seeds & Flags (//www.virtualseeds.com/houseplants-main.html) World Wide Exotic Seeds (//www.seed-man.com/hp.htm) GreenDealer (//www.greendealer-exotic-seeds.com/seeds/Houseplants.html) FreshestSeeds (//www.freshestseeds.com/hp.htm) There are too many others for me to spend my time listing. I am not making any accusations because I don't know much about the business. If anyone has an explanation I would appreciate it!

Last spring, my gardening buddy and I placed a $50 order for vegetable, flower, and grass seeds. The order arrived quickly. Everything we planted germinated and grew as promised. In most cases, the plants exceeded our expectations...what to do with all these vegetables? A note to LarryD: give it up. Mr. King explained the situation and offered a reasonable solution.

I placed a $40 order with this company since they had some realy interesting plants I could not get in my area- I was a little disappointed that one thing I ordered was unable to be delivered but they sent me a refund check with the rest of my seeds (and it was only petunias anyway)--- I have not tried to grow any yet- it's a little chilly but am excited to try!

And he uses the tactic of attacking the "person" rather than the "Issue" "If you have so much time on your hands..." Read the following correspondence. Date: Wed, 16 Mar 2005 16:54:22 -0500 Subject: Re: Snail mail order From: "GreenDealer" View Contact Details To: "Larry D. Cook" Hello again Mr. Cook, I do not have any more of those seeds at this time and I am waiting now for more of them at 2 per packet. Because I do beleive in treating a customer they way I would want to be treated, I am offering you a full refund. By offering a full refund on any item for any reason, I am certain that I am within the legal bounds of this "contract." Of course if you have that much time on your hands and feel you need to react over a $2.00 packet of seeds go ahead. A full refund is all I can do for you. Thank you for the lecture. Michael King on 3/16/05 11:47 AM, Larry D. Cook at cookfrenchlick@yahoo.com wrote: Please send me the other 3 seeds. I will explain why. When a merchant advertises and a customer acts on that advertisement it is called a contract. According to the Commercial Code, contracts are “sacred” in our judicial system. Neither one can legally unilaterally change the terms of the contract after it has been fulfilled: Offer, Consideration and Acceptance. It appears that the difficulty you have is with the supplier. You should discuss your problem with them and explain the potential legal difficulty they are placing you in. You would probably have legal recourse against them. I assume they do “drop shipping “ for you! So you say “He won’t take me to court over $2. Don’t be misled about my options. I checked you out on garden watchdog; it had 3 Positives and no Negatives. This wasn’t a significant # of responses and I was concerned that you only use a P.O. Box. I took a chance on you (I ordered other Exotic seeds from another co.) Last year I ordered a tree from SouthMeadow Gardens in Michigan. They never delivered and gave me the runaround. Then I found garden watchdog and saw how they had a highly negative report (above 75 %) I contacted the Better Business Bureau the Attorney Generals Office in Michigan and the Postal authorities. I’m not threatening. What I am trying to do is show you that you should NEVER mistreat a customer. Remember that the customer is always right, even when he is wrong. Ask yourself “how would Wal-mart handle a situation like this.” As a matter of fact I know of an improvement that you could make to your web site. Please send me the other 3 seeds before this spring GreenDealer wrote: Hello again Mr. Cook, I just found out yesterday that my supplier of Cassabana seeds has run into a scarce crop situation. He is only going to supply 2 seeds per packet until further notice. I did not update my website until today. Please send those seeds back and I will see that you get a full refund. I regret the inconvenience. Michael King GreenDealer Exotic Seeds on 3/13/05 3:26 PM, Larry D. This place is awesome! They have a wonderful selection of unique seeds, the prices are reasonable (about $2 a packet, average of 10-15 seeds per), and the delivery is prompt. I loved the opportunity to buy smaller amounts, at reasonable prices, so I was able to sample the gamut!

I was looking for exotic pepper seeds from Peru and found them here. I ordered 12 different varieties, Rocotos, Ajis, Anchos, etc. Anyway, they only had 11 of the 12 varieties in stock, but they notified me immediately and were very pleasant about refunding my money. I plan to order many more seeds from them as the years pass. They included with my order, a detailed catalog of the seeds they carry and the requirements for a successful crop, from germination to productive fruit.

Just wanted to share my experience with this mail-order company. I ordered some ornamental grass seeds from them and I was quite satisfied. They shipped my order promptly. Their prices are very reasonable and I got a lot of seeds for the price. They have an incredibly large quantity of exotic seeds from all over the world. Their web site also has great information on plant propagation and pictures of many of the plants whose seeds they sell. They also have a printed catalog of seeds. Their info is as follows: GreenDealer Exotic Seeds P.O.Box 37328 Louisville, Kentucky 40233email: king@adempt.netPhone: 502-458-7201Fax: 502-459-9054
