Young pumpkins are yellow. This one is approximately 3" accross.

3 Plants in early July, Central Connecticut. Vines 20+ feet by August. Most of the leaves in this picture are slightly larger than a dinner plate.

If you can keep out the borers and limit the number of pumpkins on the vine, you can get one that is 100+lbs
