I find this better than 'Fulda glut' as it doesn't grow out of bounds, and keeps it's dark color even in winter

here is a 12/28 pic on a day the snow melted off. Winter interest in zone 5 is a plus! Works here nicely with sedum 'Acre' ( Acre is green)

Gorgeous, almost neon, rosy-red flowers appear June thru August held tight & low against the foliage. To only 4”-6” tall, pinch once in awhile for densest mat.
