Borderline hardy here in NJ 7b, thought I lost it in the rather severe winter of '02-'03, but it finally started putting out new growth in early June. Has flowered lightly in the fall other years, wonder if it will this year?

The fringe flower provides color in any planting location. The leaves are changing colors almost constantly and there are many color variations on the same shrub. Here you can see how it livens up the scenery even without its flowers. (San Antonio, Tx.)
