Here is a seed pod. They grow out of the dead flower sort of like a poppy seed pod.

Best luck sprouting by tiny nick with fingernail clipper and soak overnight. They all swelled and 5 days later sprouted during warm weather.

Now 2 feet tall. Last spring I found it as a seedling underneath the mother tree. Dug it up and planted it in the sun.

6- 8 ' cuttings. 2-4" in circumference. Will they root? They did not root. I later realized my mistake. The branches need to be 2-4 " in DIAMETER, not circumfrence. :(

Here is the same tree 2 months later (July 21, 2013) now 40" tall. It grew 1 1/2 feet in two months.
