Salvia chiapensis has a bright fuscia bloom that is about .75 to 1 inch long and dark green leaves that have somewhat of a shine to the upper surfaces.

This young Salvia chiapensis plant looked somewhat scraggly a few eeks ago, but has filled out nicely as the days have warmed. (Color of blooms are much brighter ... did not upload true to the photo).
