Some have just 4 flowers in a bunch, some have 8.

Crown of Thorns is said to be the very crown Jesus had to use in his crucification. But it´s not possible, unless they traveled to Madagascar (where this plant was first discovered not so long ago) and brought some for Him.Blooming in mid winter, Ribeirão Preto, north of São Paulo.

Have had great sucess with this plant, blooms non-stop (approx. 5 years)
