One of the darkest leafed cannas that in heat of summer appears to near black. Leaves are smooth, leathery, and shiney.
Flower is a large soft red. Taller medium height. A very lovely canna when grown well.

Taken 23rd July 06. The afternoon sun shone through the flowers. The glow was stunning, set off by the near black leaves.

A Canna Virused leaf. BEWARE, so many cannas now have it and are very contagious. This showed up on new growth 1 month after I bought a seemingly healthy plant.
