This vine does drop seeds that germinate but I would not consider it invasive. Roots do not run.

The vine's blooms are much more delicate looking than is shown in this photo. The vine is growing on a low picket fence. September. (San Antonio. Tx.)

Seedpods on the left, two seeds on the right and the pink thing in the middle is a half-dried bloom with a half-formed seed inside of it. As the seed matures, the pink petals dry and turn into the seed "pod".

Coral vine found growing on an abandoned house in Central Texas (pic taken in September). I've outlined the vine in pink so you can tell it apart easier from all the other plants gone wild. The peak of the house is approximately 20 feet high.

Honey bees in particular LOVE this plant that lots of us in Texas call Queen's Crown. One is taking a sip near the bottom of the photo.

My Coral Vine seedling didn't start taking off until all of this rain we've had lately. There's some sort of weed with it coming in from the neighbor's yard - YUCK! GREAT vine though, I'm excited!!!!
