These flowers carpet my local woods every spring. Some woods, however, now contain wild boar, which consider the bulbs to be a great delicacy! Hopefully, while i'd like populations of boar to remain, they will never be here in large enough numbers to wipe out the blubells.

Here is a white 'bluebell' growing wild in a wood in Kent, SE England. This is a totally naturally occuring form. April 2003

Carpets of delicately scented bluebells in swathes in every direction in a friend's wood in spring, a stunning sight.
