Also known as 'Bloodleaf', this banana is an outstandingly beautiful ornamental plant grown for its foliage. The leaves look as though they are stained with burgundy wine. It is well suited for containers and/or small areas. (San Antonio, Tx.)

Looking down on a young plant. (While still possible.) Variegation is consistent in shade or sun.

Rojo banana do well in container/pot. Growing 1.75 leaf per week and a ft in height this past month. With 1 nice shoot. Has been a rewarding addition to the family.
