This epiphyte cacuts doesn´t even look like a real plant. I like it. Rio de Janeiro, mid summer.

When I was searching out information on this plant I read that blooms were rare. Therefore, I was pleased when mine produced a flower bud. Here's a picture of it; when it blooms, I'll post that picture also.

The flowers are big (6"- 8" across) and smell wonderful. They bloom after dusk.

This plant has bloomed 7 nights in a row with from 4 to 10 blooms per night . Open around dusk, fully open at 10:30PM. 50 + blooms!

This is the night time flower of my 15 year old Rik Rak cactus. It blooms very infrequently, but when is does it is a delight!

The first time I got this cactus to bloom for me was by forgetting to water it from October 31 till May15 of the next year.
