The fruit is very colorful and last a long time on the plant.

A friend gave me a long leaf of this plant and I cut it into 4 inch sections, dipped the ends in root hormone and it rooted in just a few days. I shared the plants and had blooms by late summer the next year.

This is the bloom on my Night Blooming Cereus Plant taken last year. A friend had given me cuttings from her plant which I rooted in water and then potted. It seems to love being pot-bound.

This one grows crazy in zone9, it blooms 4 times during three months, and it is so easy to root from cutting.

Have abused this plant for two years, and not taken good care of it, froze it, dried it, hot full sun, etc. and this is how it rewards me. I like this plant. (Florida panhandle)

The fruit forms when the flower gets pollinated (by bats or moths??? I am not sure.) It is sweet. Not sure if I was supposed to eat it though :)

I put my epiphyllum in a cage so it would take up less space and it makes easier to cover in winter with out braking lots of leaves off.
