Here is a picture of my pregnant onion about to bloom. I've grown this one from a baby - it's about 3.5 years old. It gets a lot of morning / afternoon sun - a South East exposure. It's made 5 babies so far - hopefully more to come!

This is the plant that I planted ages ago but back then I didn't even know what it was. Now I water it every 3 days and it just keeps on growing :)

The lovely flower resembles the African Violet "Frozen In Time," with its reversed green and white.

Ornithogalum longibracteatum, Pregnant Onion bloom. I grow them as house plants in Anchorage, AK, but do set them outside for the summer.

caudex may be a zone 9a plant, but leaves sure aren't... this plant melted outdoors in Southern California at 27F (frostless 5 hours of torture)
