This plant grows wild near Santa Fe, Texas, mostly on recently disturbed soil, such as clay fill, or where dirt has been moved. It spreads very rapidly, with no care.

Ordered Homestead Purple Verbena and didn't know what to do with it so I just put it in the ground. I thought it had died, but boy did it bloom. I love this plant!

This Homestead Purple Verbena was planted in the Spring of 2008 and is now 4-5 months old and has never been cut back. I plan to order more and plant them in other areas.

First bloom of year, in late Feb. Evergreen in winter, speads nice, blooms all spring, summer, & fall if you deadhead spent blooms!
