Penstemon baccharifolius (Shrubby Penstemon) - growing in the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens, El Paso, TX. General growth habit (Aug. '09). If a dense, bushy shrub is desired, it should be pruned.

Found growing in the wild out of a rock face near the boat ramp along the Pecos River in Texas. Hvae since planted some seeds in my yard, hoping they'll come up.
