The lavendar (lilac) Fairy Primula (Fairy Primrose, Baby Primula, Baby Primrose) has somewhat smaller and more open blooms than the dark pink variety. Both bloom constantly from winter until the end of spring, but need protected during hard freezes. (San Antonio, Tx.)

The white fairy primrose stands out in the landscape. Altough its blooms are small, they are in clusters and make an impact. (San Antonio, Tx.)

The red fairy primrose is sometimes diffucult to find. The petals are a deep rich red and the center a bright yellow fading to green. Its blooms last a long time. Its bloom period is long and it blooms prolifically. (San Antonio, Tx.)
