This is a picture of the leaves of Prairie Dock. They are approximately 1' or more in length. Very eye catching leaves among the normal roadside growth. The flowers are born at the ends of the stalks seen mixed among the leaves. Photo courtesy of Dan Busemeyer of the Illinois State Natural History Survey

Such a fun & magnificent perennial Sunflower. Why? Cause it’s so tall and vertical, has such large & beautiful leaves.
