Foliage on Feb 24th in Raleigh, NC. (This is 'Gravetye Giant' but the foliage looks the same as the species.) Note foliage is more of a glossy green and flatter than most narcissus/daffodils.

Look closely within the sheath to see the young buds. Wonderful.
