Acacia constricta, fragrant 1/2" yellow puff-ball blooms appear mainly in spring and early summer (depending on rainfall). Blooming in Las Cruces, NM in early June.

Acacia constricta, or Whitethorn Acacia. White thorns are 1/4" to 1" long, but may not appear on all plants (especially older ones.) Growing in Las Cruces, NM, early June.
