This is a flower from my giant taro. The plant itself is huge (about 10 feet tall) and the flower is about a foot long and 6 inches wide. This is the third bloom and I I see several more pods. It has been blooming for over a month. It's beautiful.

This one remains it's mighty stature . Very large leaves & trucnk base. This has yet to be harmed by the winter here, I believe that is due to we live on a lake & have several large oaks for a barrier

This Alocassia is doing wonderfully in my covered patio. It`s get`s a little early morning sun but that`s it. It seems to really thrive in the intense desert heat as long as kepts moist. Very moist.

Alocasia macrorrhizos (zone 8a) dies down to ground each winter and survives without any added protection other than the remnants of the frost-deadened foliage--grown in pt. shade, southern exposure.
