These ferns are silver/green with wine colored veining. They combine well with other shade plants like hostas and the red heucheras.

An exquisitely colored fern for the garden. Mature fronds are a beautiful muted gray-green accented by delicate wine-red stems. perfers well-drained soil.

first foliage in spring looks dry and crispy--I thought the plant had sprouted and died! but it shortly turns silver/burgundy

This fern gets more and more beautiful every year. It spreads modestly, but is definitely staking out more room in my garden. Fine by me.

In full shade, damp clay soil, zone 8. Mid-July after overwintering in ground. This one's about 18" tall.
