I find this is maybe one of the strongest and rapid growers of the Droseras.(ideal beginners plant)
D.binata dies down completely for the winter,reproducing dormant buds at soil level in early Spring. It's strong thin black roots soon reach the drainage holes in it's pot and from a single plant after the first season,it could be divided into 10 to 15 new plants all complete with their own roots and leaves.New shoots also break out of nodes along the roots.
After growing to around 8" it has a tendancy to grow lax.
For this reason it is ideal for growing in a hanging planter of live Sphagnum moss kept constantly wet.
This is a non-tuberous Drosera.
