Leaves in March 2004, these have overwintered outside in Southern England this year but we did protect it with sawdust when it snowed, just in case.

This Photo illustrates how foliage is less "chocolatey" in shadier conditions. Personally I prefer it this way.

This miniature Ajuga loses all its chocolate coloring in full shade, but can't take the heat and sun here in 10A without burning out.

I just planted these 5 Ajugas today (Sept. 14, 2009) in full shade. I can't wait for them to spread and hopefully bloom.

These are thick little clumps that will (hopefully) spread quickly. If they bloom next year (in 2010) I'll upload some more photos. Update 8/30/2010: They died. :(
