This is an East Texas Native. The seed that this plant grew from was collected in Woodville, TX. I try to collect seed each year and distribute it to other gardeners. It forms a small bulb that regrows each year.

Taken 7/27/2010 on ranch land in South TX, Duval Co. Only two seen all day on 184 acres. Up to 15 inches of rain for 2010 to date.
