Cordyline indivisa 'Spikes' in containers sitting in a "dry riverbed" (created for drainage) between 2 patio areas. These do not grow as large as the as the other Cordyline indivisa.

From New Zealand, this tree is widely planted on the Oregon coast. It makes for a tropical effect in our mild climate.

Even if we get snow down by the beach (1 mile east), This plant blooms every year! Our soil is sandy and acidic. I put a mild fertilzer on it this year. I don't know how old it is.
