This is the first year of bloom for our little chestnut tree. It is suffering from chestnut blight, and so will have a very limited life, but it is a beautiful tree to have.

Cold stratified the seed in a ziplock half full of damp perlite and popped into the fridge (vegetable compartment) for 3 months. Take it out and planted it in a pot.
