Don't know much about this plant. Interesting spines.

I purchased this plant from my local Home Depot. The stems start out thin and skinny but get fatter in time. The spines are painful.

The thicker three-sided stems that are produced occasionally on this plant are easier to root than the thinner, four-sided stems.
