Three year old 'Snow Queen' that lives in a 10-gallon pot. I overwinter indoors, where it continues to bloom even after heavy pruning!

Leaves are variegated, almost white, blooms are solid red.

This is a tall hibiscus and more bushy than the big flowered hybrids, but it makes up for it in the number of blooms.

Sometimes the leaves are almost white, usually they have about this much variegation.Too much nitrogen will make them more green.

I like the combination of red, green and white. Mid winter, Rio de Janeiro

The leaves on my 'Snow Queen' variegated hibiscus have the following: 1. pink splotches and/or edges 2. splatters of different shades of white, cream and/or green 3. solid green colors 4. a combination of 1. and 2. (San Antonio, Tx.)

'Snow Queen' provides year round beauty especially when in bloom. The blooms are smaller than regular hibiscus, but are still very showy and contrast well with the foliage. Shown at the first of May. (San Antonio, Tx.)

I've had this plant for years. Originally the flowers were a pretty pale pink but a few years ago the plant changed to both green and variegated foliage and the blooms are red.
