Briar vine roots ~ in former days, these were used for the bowl of smoking pipes. This one measures 12" x 8". Can become massive in size...

A handful of Greenbriar berries in Spring among some Viburnum blooms, seemingly missed by the birds since Fall. Said to be edible raw or cooked in jellies and jams.
